The car was packed. Everyone squished together in the crowded seats and some stuffed themselves in the trunk. A few sat on the floor between everyone's legs. We had nine guys crammed into a five person car.
I sat comfortably in the drivers seat and I could feel the car moving to the bass of the music playing. I could hear incoherent yells over the song that was playing, each of the boys blaming each other for their uncomfortable position.
"I swear to god if you don't stop taking my arm rest I'm going to rip it out and hit you with it!" Someone yelled, their threat muffled over everyone's else's shouts.
"Don't you dare ruin my car." I scolded looking up at all the guys in my rear view mirror. My stern tone must have caught their attention because all of their heads snapped towards me and they gave me sheepish smiles.
Brandon sat next to me and just gave me a happy smile considering this was his party. We were only about a minute away to the bar and I couldn't wait to get all of the guys out of my car.
"You've taken my seatbelt hole!" Someone else yelled, attempting to put his seatbelt on. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion wondering why he was just now putting on his seatbelt.
I pulled into the small parking lot next to the bar and quickly parked before anyone could destroy my car.
"We're here everyone out!" I yelled loudly over everyone's voices. I turned the engine off and lowered the volume of the music before hopping out of the car. Everyone else spilled from the car and they all pumped their fist in the air, happy they were no longer stuffed in the car.
We made our way to the entrance, the large sign glowing down on the hood of my car. We all pushed through the small door and toppled inside, the familiar smell of alcohol hitting our senses.
One of the boys found a table large enough to fit us all and we all piled into the booth. A waitress approached us showing more of her chest off than necessary and took our orders. Someone ordered three rounds of shots, declaring we all were forced to take part.
Seventies music was playing in the background and I noticed a band performing next to us. The bar was across from us at the front and I longed to be there instead of with these baboons.
I didn't know any of them, except Brandon, but he was the reason we all were here. I couldn't remember any of their names because they all looked so alike and I couldn't carry on a conversation with them mainly because they would start talking about their new headshots. They were all actors, like Brandon, and as much as I didn't want to follow the stereotype they were all pretty much dumber than a rock. Except for one of them, I think his name was Bret, but he was directly across from me and I didn't feel like yelling across the table.
The shots arrived and were soon passed around so we each ended up with three shots in front of us.
A guy that I'm almost positive name is James picked up his drink first and held it up in the air. "To Brandon, and his last night of freedom!" We all joined his glass in the air and downed the small but burning amount of liquor in the glass.
A few of the guys patted his back at the comment and Brandon only chuckled next to me.
This bar was what he chose as his bachelor party location and while at first I was not behind the idea I will admit it was fun. We were all groomsmen, which I explained to Brandon it wasn't normal to have eight groomsmen but he didn't care. I wasn't the best man and it took me a second to process that information when I was first told but I quickly understood considering I had been in London for quite a long time.
Brandon likes to believe I moved here to Seattle for him and his wedding but there were far more reasons than that. While he didn't know any of them he liked to keep his ego high with his ideas.
