He wouldn't be able to save her. Klaus could feel it. He just couldn't, not with his own brother's strength against him. He gasped, more blood coming out of his mouth as he looked at Hayley. She felt it too. He didn't need to talk to her or to even try to make her understand, she understood. She knew that Klaus, no matter how hard he was trying, couldn't save the day. He saw the sadness crossed her face as she looked up to Elijah again and realizing that he wasn't there for her, that he didn't even react when he saw her actually. The hybrid could feel her pain after feeling her relief when his brother arrived, and he understood her pain. He wished he would have warned her, he would have prevented her that pain, because he felt it just before her. But he couldn't, just like he couldn't save her.

He tried to think about a better option, of something, someone else that could save the day instead of him. Maybe Caroline would wake up from his brother's attack, like right now and kill that Margot bitch holding Hayley. Maybe his brother would finally see through Hayley's eyes how much he loved her and suddenly help them, and Hope. Maybe Klaus himself wasn't so weakened by this damn stake.

Each of this option wasn't going to happen and he knew it. He looked at Hayley one more time and noticed how she rested her head against the wall, giving up. What the hell she was doing? She was going to kill her! He watched her as she looked at their daughter, with her smile on her face, and then looking at him, still smiling. What the hell was that smile about Hayley, huh? Since when you gave such smile to me so easily, especially after being away for so long?! Klaus frowned still trying to take the stake out.

He heard a scream, making him looking to Hayley again, seeing her fight. Be careful, she was holding your heart! He saw her broke her hand and then rushing to the outside, to the sun.

No.

"No!" He couldn't help but scream, finally able to get up, trying to get to her.

Too late, they were already both on fire. A tear ran down his cheek, just as Hayley's life ran away, with Klaus' hope to bring to Hope her mother.

No!

He saw Elijah on his side, looking at this fire, not feeling anything. No! He couldn't, he couldn't deal with Elijah as he wanted so much to hurt him for what he just did. He killed her daughter's mother, his little wolf.

"It's time to fight, little wolf"

When he said that to her, he couldn't expect better than what Hayley gave him. She fought like hell, for Hope, for herself, for his family, again and again. She saved his ass and fought like a queen. She was a Mikealson, she more than deserved that title. If only he had realized that sooner.

"What did he tell you?

-Nothing true!"

Two words, that eased him more than anything else at that time, especially because it was about his father. She slowly made her way to his heart. She succeeded in accepting him despite his huge defaults. She didn't push him away in Hope's life when she so easily could.

Seeing Hope, still unconscious and unacknowledged of the news, broke him a bit more. How was he going to tell her the truth? Wasn't it a way to bring her back, like with Bonnie Bennett did countlessly with her friends back at Mystic Falls? Was it really the end?
