STORM AND SILENCE by @RobThier

Summary : "It is your choice," he said, stepping so close to me that our lips were almost touching. "Either do what I say - or get another job."

My heart stood still as I gazed up into his deep, dark, dangerous eyes...

In a world where women's only role in life is to sit at home and look pretty, Lilly is determined to fight for her freedom. There's only one problem: a powerful man blocking her way.

Review : ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first volume of the "Storm and Silence" series is a great starter for the series. The book guarantee plenty adventure and also combines romance, action, and humor.

The main characters are fantastic. While Lilly Linton is witty and a lot of fun, she can also very smart and her way of thinking is amazing. She is independent, very strong, and scared of nothing aside from her aunt. You can only love her. Mr Ambrose, on the other side, is very cold and calculating. He doesn't like to spend money neither does he like to waste time. Like he says : "Knowledge is power is time is money." What is the most fascinating is that regardless of his glacial personality, you can't help but love him. His way of acting tends to make you develop a soft spot for him and the romance between Lilly and him seem very realistic and sort of magic.

Another thing that I love about the book is that the secondary characters have interesting story-line too such as Ella and Edmund and are not just made to support the main characters.

Overall, I would give this book four stars over five because it tends to be a little bit slow at the beginning but is still worth reading.
