I was alone
I chose to be
I stumbled
Distanced from reality
I felt the darkness surround me
Closing in
Suffocating me with its
Intensity
I was dissipating
bit
by
bit
He grasped my hand
Swathed my mortality
He called to my heart
Shattered my conceit
I lifted my hands
Chose His path
My lungs released
The toxic breath
I held
Now I hear His voice
When it's dark
The darkness is...
A B S E N T
Only the silence remains
& a whisper in the air

Disillusioned: Poetry Collection
PoesíaA smattering of my poetry, old and new. Be warned, they're dark, raw, real, emotional, spiritual, biased, prejudiced, horrid, and most of all disillusioned. Enter if you dare. Copyright © 2014 by Joy Cronjé All rights reserved. No part of this book...
