"Now tell me again, Mr. Tomlinson, where was Harry last seen?"

"I've told you a million times! I brought him home from the hospital and the next morning, he was gone!"

The dim light shining from the lamp that hung above my head was slightly swaying back and forth as I argued with this police officer.

I had been called in today to be interrogated on the disappearance of Harry, my love. Two weeks before this interrogation, Harry left in the middle of the night, taking his car and leaving me. I was desperate to find him and find some answers as well. So, as any human being would do when a loved one goes missing, I reported his disappearance to the police.

I'd been in jail a few times and of course I was a suspect for Harry's disappearance. What did they think? That I killed Harry and hid his body then reported his disappearance as some game of hide and seek? This surely wasn't the case.

That damn policeman asked me at least ten times already the same question. He'd asked me over and over the last place I'd seen Harry. I found it very unprofessional of him and quite dumb to be honest. He wanted answers yet he was determined that the ones I were giving him were just lies to cover up the fact that I was a potential serial killer. Which I wasn't. I just wanted to see Harry again.

The policeman adjusted his cap with a meaty hand and sighed. He set down a pen he'd had in his hand down-he'd been writing down this pointless conversation- and rubbed his eyes.

"Alright well, this has gotten us no where," he groaned.

"Maybe because you've asked me the same question over and over again, to which I've been giving you the same god damn answer that you just obviously are too fucking stubborn to accept that it's true," I said, raising my voice and standing up.

The policeman gave up trying to interrogate me and he just gave me a gesture that told me to leave the room. I sighed with relief as I swung open the door to the small room and exited. I walked down a hall back into the waiting area of the police department where I saw Zayn standing, talking on the phone. As I got closer I could hear the conversation.

"Yes, babe, I will be home soon," Zayn assured. "Don't worry."

His eyes found me and he held up a finger, motioning for me to wait.

"Listen, I love you, I've got to get going now," he said rather quickly. "I'll be home soon. I love you."

He hung up and sighed.

"Sorry," he apologized as he scratched the back of his head. "Girlfriend's wondering where I am."

I nodded.

"So um, how'd it go?" Zayn asked slowly.

"Oh you know fine," I answered. "Rather boring when someone asks you the same question more than twice."

"So no answers yet?"

"The only answers I got were the ones that came out of my own mouth."

Zayn patted my shoulder.

"Listen, I'm sure they'll be able to find Harry soon," Zayn assured.

"They're not doing a very good job," I said. "Zayn, it's been two fucking weeks. I haven't slept and I can barely eat. Where in the world could he be?"

Zayn sighed and looked down at the floor.

"I don't know," he said. "But he couldn't have gone far."

"Maybe he went to the next town, back where Debby is," I thought aloud.

"Debby?" Zayn said.

"Just a friend I met in prison," I explained, focusing my attention on the floor as I continued to think.
