-Micheal-
It was 5:53am when I woke. Akarshana was still asleep. Wow she's beautiful. Her jet black hair with pink tips was coiled into ringlets and tossed past her shoulders. Her cheeks stained black with mascara were now clean and a soft olive colour. Her lips were plump and a pearly pink colour, her mouth closed delicately. I could feel her breath coming from her nose and onto my chest. I didn't mind though her company was to great to care. I liked the idea of healing her, it made me feel good to know I helped her tonight. I can't image life without her. When ever I'm near her, I feel happy. Even if I'm having a bad day, she instantly pulls away the clouds and exposes pure sunlight deep beneath her gorgeous brown eyes.
I spent a few hours just watching her. Her dainty little hands were placed neatly on my shoulder and whenever I moved she grasped a bit tighter. Her nose would twitch here and then, just the slightest little lift, not to much though. It was magical to be able to spend a night with her, my best friend. Well I wish we could be more than that but I've got the impression she's happy like this. I want to do something nice for her.
It was 6:13am I got up, careful not to wake her. I held my breath as she stirred slightly, but eventually settled back down.
Her apartment was a tip, blood here, glass there, left over food placed on the counters and floor. I picked every little piece up and cleared it away before scrubbing down the walls and clearing up the scarlet lies that dripped on the floor last night.
I went into the kitchen to make my famous breakfast menu for us to munch on. The cupboards were practically empty. I decide to walk to the store just down the block. I'm halfway there when I forget I have no money. To my luck there was £10 just lying on the pavement. I searched my way around the shop and found my ingredients before heading back to Akarshana's apartment.
I slipped through the polished door and into the kitchen. To my luck, she was still asleep. I put the bag on the counter, took out 6 large bananas and popped them into a blender. I grabbed the ice cream from the bag and took 5 large scoops of heaven out before plopping it into the container. Lastly, I poured the milk into the jug and filled it to the top before slamming on the lid and firing up the blender. It made such a racket I was scared I was going to wake her. I didn't.
I have taken 1 hour to prepare breakfast with an outcome of waffles, pancakes and the left over ice cream from the banana smoothies. It smelt heavenly. I gently tucked myself into her embrace once more. By then I have taken of my jeans and thrown them off the bed. I looked a twat just lying there awkwardly in my white tee shirt and boxers but I know we don't judge each other so I didn't care.
It was 8:23 when we woke. I was awake first, again. I found it fascinating to watch her wake up. She twitched her nose first before opening her mouth into a yawn so big it could swallow the whole town. She tasted her own tongue with the roof of her mouth and fluttered her eyes open. She smiled. There was something different about this smile, it was real. I smiled back in delight to see she was okay, well for now.
"Good morning Mikie." She said in a sleepy 'can't be asked to speak' voice.
"Good morning Kashie." I replied mimicking her slightly.
"What's that smell?" She asked curiously.
"Let's go find out."
We get out of bed and I scuttled over to the stereo and put a cd in, the music played quietly in the background. Damn her room was a mess. Clothes over the floor here and there. She started to laugh when she saw my jeans just thrown on the carpet.
"What?" I laugh back
She looked me dead in the eye and with a strait face began to sing:
"I made a mixtape strait out of '94, I got your ripped skinny jeans lying on the floor."
I punched her lightly as she burst out with laughter, screeching at her own joke.
I pulled her by the waist into the white kitchen where I had breakfast laid out on the table.
"Micheal..." She whispered, her voice cracked slightly towards the end.
I hugged her close and kissed her forehead lightly.
"You deserve it." I said squeezing her boney shoulders.
I pulled out her chair and sat her down. She looked stunned at the effort I had gone through to run this small errand. We sat down and tucked in the golden pancakes and waffles crisped to perfection then sipped our milk shakes to the beat of 'Cornerstone' written by The Arctic Monkeys.
