Oh, to wait in such agony
Why does one have to go through
An ordeal as hurting as this
The exchange that happened
The feelings finally accepted
Promises that were made
Yes, I know I told you
That I would wait, just wait
No matter how long it will take
With the moonlight as our witness,
I swore, forever yours I'll be
And mine you shall eternally be
And in a flash, so suddenly
The moment was taken away from me
Leaving me dazed, and numb, and empty
So I stare up at the cold, winter night
Because maybe, just maybe
You might be doing just that, too
And now I wonder
When will time allow us,
To finally run away, together
Oh, to wait in such agony
Faithfully keeping that promise
Under that clear, moonlit winter night

Waiting.
