I sat outside crying. I had been depressed for quiet a while, but now things had been getting worse. I had been dumped by my boyfriend, lost my job, and broke my wrist all in the same week. I wasn't going to have enough money to pay for rent, so I was going to have to live with my mother, In a town called Joplin.

I had moved to Colorado when I was 18, trying to make my music career better known. But since I was obviously failing at life, that wasn't going to happen.

I'd just gotten to Joplin two days ago, but I already disliked it. I sighed and realized it was Friday. Friday. I smiled.

I had been waiting for today since I got here. Today was the NeverShoutNever concert.

If you were to ask one of my friends how much I liked NeverShoutNever, they would tell you in one word. Obsessed. I'd always had the little fan girl dream of falling in love with any of them, but who doesn't dream that at one point in life?

I walked back inside and plopped down on the brown couch in the living room.I quickly looked through the TV guide to see that nothing good was on, so I decided to get ready with the seven hours I had before the show.

"Hey Jaymie" I heard my mom say.

"Hi Mom" I said smiling.

"You seem happy today. Plans?"

"I'm going to a Nevershoutnever concert Mom!"

"Oh yea, about that. I have something for you" she said running to her room. She came back, her hand behind her back, smiling.

She handed me what was in her hand. It took me a minute to realize what it was.

"A backstage pass?" I said smiling. My mom knew me well.

Well that was the first chapter. I know I'm not that good but eh.
