Chapter 8

What's going on?

     So after we ate,  Bone told me what Reaper said that made her so excited! And honestly it's making me really excited too! He said that we would get to train!

     Right now that I'm waiting with Bone for our trainer, Shadow. We probably have more strength than her but she has more experience on the battlefield, So she's going to help us. It's about ten minutes before Shadow comes back from her last patrol.

     "There you two are." Shadow said as she walked towards us, "Are you both ready." she continued.

     "Are we ever!" I shouted. We headed out of camp and through the forest to a large cavern. Inside there was a small waterfall that didn't take up a lot of space and  there was a hole at the top of the cavern that gave plenty of light. There were wolves already training with their mentors when we got there. As we walked over to a place to start everyone was looking at Bone and I weird, probably because we don't get about of camp much.

     "It's alright, Reapers orders." Shadow told them "Now," she turned to us, "Ready for the basics?"

     After about twenty minutes of listening to    her "basics", she finally let us try something. I leaped at Bone. At the last second she moved out of my target range and I toppled over

     "Good job Bone!" Shadow praised, I could tell she's enjoying that, I have an idea to get her back. I gave her a "come at me" look. Bone ran towards me, I moved to the side out of her range and caught her back left leg and tripped her, and she landed on her face! That was the most funny thing I've seen today! Shadow and I were laughing.

     "Very good thinking Skull." Shadow said in between laughs. Bone got up and rubbed her chin with her paw.

     "Haha very funny." Bone said sarcastically as she sat down angrily, she's gonna get back somehow. Should I be worried. Shadow continued her lessons, and showed us a few new moves that would surprise our opponents. Bone came up to me wanting payback, she went for my legs but surprised me by nicking my right ear with her claws, my blood spewed on Bones paw while I yelped in pain.

     "Bone! I thought I said no claws!" Shadow scolded. She didn't follow the rules, so of course Shadows going to be mad. Even if it was a good move. "Although Bone didn't listen to the 'no claws' part, it was a good move, Skull maybe you should try to do something like it" Shadow said.

Oh I will,  just with my own twist. I nodded in agreement, and lunged for Bone once again and went for her ear, she ducked and I swept her feet out from under her.

     You could say I have a thing for tripping my opponent during battle, its a good way to surmount your opponent. If this wasn't training we would have killed eachother.

     Bone got up and growled at me as she got up. She tackled me, shes trying to bite me but I keep dodging her attacks. I got back up so it's easier to dodge.  When she went to trip me shadow stopped her. "Although I would like to see this through, I have to stop this. This is training, not a real battle!" Bone got off me and then growled at me. "This isn't over yet!", and she ran out of the cavern. What's her problem this is just training, so I don't know why she is so mad. I get the feeling that this is not going to End well.
