As Kasey sleeps, I gather up knives and any other weapon I can find. I pack some food. I am hunting this guy down. And I am not letting him off easily. Or at all.

I carry Kasey back down into the basement. It's not safe for her up here. I bring blankets and pillows and make a bed for her. I make sure to leave some food for her to eat when she wakes. I decide to not lock the basement door. If she wants, she can leave me. But, that would break my heart.

I put my stuff in a backpack and hold a large knife with my hands. I go outside and look around. Where do I start? Where did he go? I start off towards the direction I found Kasey.

I walk for what seems like a half hour. I get to where I found Kasey. Her dry blood still on the ground. I scan the area. I have no idea what to look for.

Then I see it. A body. I walk towards it. It lays limp on the ground. How did I miss this before?  Its a woman. But... somehow I recognize her. Its the woman I murdered.

For the first time in a long time, I feel afraid. There are so many questions,  so many terrible scenarios playing through my head.

That's it. Somebody must be on to me. But who? Why are they mocking me? I examine her body more closely. She has no clothes on. I didn't leave her like that. This person must have undressed the body. But why?

She has many cuts and scrapes. Just like Kasey did. Then I get a thought. A horrible thought. Did he rape her? Did he rape this body? What kind of sick animal would do such a thing?

I am even more angry now. Not only did he hurt Kasey, he violated her in the most grotesque way. This man deserves to be tortured. Even more than I do.

I look around. There's got to be more evidence, signs, anything. I starts walking forward, past the body. Even though I lived around here for a lot of my life, there are many things in this forest that I've never seen.

I walk for a bit, keeping my eyes and ears open. Looking for anything that might help me. I get to a part of the forest I have never been in. I see cabin. A really crappy cabin.

It's dirty and looks like it needs washed off. I slowly walk up to it. There are a few windows but they are very dirty. Too dirty to see through.

I knock on the door. No answer. I slowly push it open. The inside of the cabin is just as dirty as the outside. Dust everywhere, unrecognizable moldy food on the floor, and the few bits of furniture are overturned.

Examing my surroundings, I spot a small latch on the floor. A secret trapdoor.

I open it, looking down. It's so dark I can barely see the ladder leading down. I get on the ladder and slowly step down.

I get to the bottom. I can't see anything. I scan the walls for a light switch. I see one finally and turn it up. A small dim light in the corner of the room.

Next to the light is a small table. On the table is a piece of paper. I go for a closer look. I pick the paper up amd read the one small sentence on it.

My heart stops.

The paper read "You made one very bad mistake. You left Kasey."

Hi guys!! Just giving you a heads up, the next chapter is going to be written in Kasey's perspective.
