The Origin Of Shadow

Maria was a beautiful girl. Her black hair swayed at her belly button. Her sky blue eyes shunned bright even though she was always mad or depressed. Her light skin didn't resemble her parents dark skin. She grew up in a rich family. Her parents never really cared about her.

When her father got mad he would go to her room and beat her. "You lil piece of shit!" He would yell while beating her. Her mother never tried to stop her husband from beating their daughter. She seemed to only care about Maria's baby brother.

Maria was used to being he schooled but occasionally she would go to a private school. She never made any friends. So she would sit by herself wishing her parents were dead. None of the students would sit by her or even talk to her. She sorta liked it like that.

On her 14th birthday she didn't get any presents. She was just in her room listening to music when her father came in and started beating her. He said in a harsh voice, "Happy birthday you lil shit!" after he was done beating her he went to his sons room. At that moment and time she snapped. She was no longer depressed or mad. She was insane and crazy.

She stood slowly from the floor where her father had left her. The thoughts she was thinking seemed to belong to someone in a mental hospital. She got a pen and and a piece of paper. She wrote in neat handwriting 'I will murder my family' she smiled and layed down in her bed dreaming of killing her father first, then her mother, then lastly her brother.

Every night she had a different dream. they were always of her killing her family. She even started planning their death. But the beatings never stopped. which fuiled her rage even more. after every beating she planned her father's death slow and painful. She knew it would take a while for her plan to take place. "Just you wait father. Your ass will suffer like I have. And you'll wish and pray that you'll die faster'" She said still holding the pen in her hand.

After planning for two years Maria was ready. Her father had not beaten her that day so she had a lot of energy. She waited til her parents and brother were asleep. She snuck down the hallway and to the kitchen. She had put her hair in a braid and wore a black shirt with blue jeans and conversed. She grabbed salt, a large knife, lemon juice, and ice.

She quickly and quietly walked to her brothers room. She wanted him to die quickly so she slit his throat. When he woke up to scream he died. his blood squirted from the slit in his throat. some of the blood got on her and she smiled wickedly.

She silently crept into her parents room. Her mother and father were still asleep. Not aware that their son was dead and their daughter was crazy and was going to kill them. She walked to their closet and set the stuff she had been carrying down. She took all the shoe laces off of their shoes. She looked and made sure that her parents hadn't woken up. They hadn't so she had time. She checked the clock though and it was only 10:38 p.m. Her mother and father were heavy sleepers but when Maria slid the knife along her mother's throat she became wide awake. She tried to scream but only a gurgling noise came out, blood sprayed everywhere and her mother died quickly.

Soon Maria dragged her mother's corpse out of the bed. She grabbed the shoe laces and tied her father to the bed. He hadn't woken up until Maria punched him in the face. Oh how badly she wanted to kill him. "You lil shit! What the hell do you think your doing? Untie me now and prepare for a beating!" his loud voice boomed.

She laughed loudly, "Oh father I'm not afraid of you and you aren't going to get free. I'm going to do what you have done to me." She grabbed the knife and cut into her father's chest. He let out an ear shattering scream. All she could do was laugh and put lemon juice in the wound. He cried out and she carved SHADOW into his chest. He continued to cry and scream, he also tried to get free of his bonds.

She put the tip of the knife on his forehead and cut down to his cheek. She put more lemon juice on his wounds and watched him beg for her to stop. She put salt all over his blood soaked body, then put it on his eyelids as he squeezed them shut. She then put two large pieces of ice on top of his eyelids and waited for him to scream louder. When he did she removed the ice. "Kill me , oh God please kill me!" he begged her.

She happily stabbed the knife into his heart. She watched as he died. She even smiled with glee when he was dead. She pulled the knife out of his heart with a slurp and wrote SHADOW all over the walls in his blood. She also wrote it in her mother's and brothers blood.

Once she was done she left her house behind and went to hide.

The TV flickers on "Breaking news," the news anchor says, "the Valentine family was murdered. Mr. and Mrs. Valentine's daughter Maria Valentine has disappeared. If you see her call this number," the TV flickers off.
