He slowly opened the door revealing a crooked blue, mixed with purple streaks staining the sky. The trees were long and twisted, with leaves that fall the wrong way. The birds were flying backwards, their wings abnormally large and bulky as they swung through the sky.Alice was in awe, he couldn't believe what her eyes were showing him. This was a world he couldn't even imagine, yet breathing in the musty fresh air felt so right. Alice looked down to see his feet were dangerously close to edge of the steps. Broken stairs spiraled down into a neverending abyss of ground. He was puzzeled at the strange sight before him, but not wanting to be more than forty feet in the air for much longer, he complied and began walking down the jagged broken stepping stones. Once Alice reached the last step, his lowered his foot to touch the first patch of ground he's seen all day. To his suprise, it was soft low grass that he felt. Dark black blades brushed up against his ankles, which was quite soothing compared to his highly uncomfortable shoes.
Alice scoffed in disgust at the abominations on his feet. He always hated shoes, they felt like prison cells for his small toes, yet he was forced into them at every social gathering by his horrible mother. He bent down and swiftly removed the old worn flats, tossing them into the trees. The sight of those blackish tan stitched shoes flying across the sky into oblivion was such a relieving experience. He sighed and felt the cool air blow through open little feet. Alice began walking slowly through the pathway, admiring the scenery, taking in the unfamiliar smells, and marvelling at the beauty of it all.
Alice felt wierd, as if he'd seen everything before. His dreams weren't as wild as this, but the whole situation still felt quite similar. He had been walking for a good half hour before coming to a clearing, a small grassy area where tables and chairs sat empty, like they were waiting for something important. He walked through the clearing, only to be struck in the face and knocked down to the ground. Alice stared in amazment at the seemingly fake clearing, stepping up to it once again and pressing his hand up to it. The inivisible barrier once again stopped his hand from pentatrating the open space of land. He pulled back his hand and stepped to the side for a better view. Alice was always the curious type, marvelling at what he was witnessing.
"Curiouser and curiouser..." he mumbled, walking around the nearest spots attempting to find an opening. He failed... Admitting defeat, he collapsed onto the ground and sighed.
"Weelllll~.....look what I've found wandering these parts of the woods~" a deep voice rang through Alice's ears. He jolted up in a shock, brasing himself before turning around. He saw nothing, but still heard that voice. Dark laughter filled the air, surrounding him and engulfing him in fear. Alice screamed scared for his life he fell back onto a tree, panting and heaving. A finger appeared out of nowhere and shushed poor Alice, pressing it to her lips. To she a floating finger shushing you wasn't as much pleasing as it was frightening. Soon the rest of the figure appeared in a puff of smoke, he was a short, slim man, with a wide face and sweet puffy cheeks. His ears perked at the top of his head, a bluish grey color they were. His eyes were dark and promising, peering into Alice's very soul. A long puffy Greyish blue tail rubbed up against his thin legs, stroking the sides as if to comfort himself. He had a gaze that was like no other though, this man who appeared out of nowhere had the presence of a dominating predator.
The man stepped away from Alice, pulling his finger back to his side. He smiled micheaviously, brushing his hair back from his gorgeous eyes. "Your shaking....are you afraid~" he spoke, the deepness in his voice caused Alice to shiver. He crawled closer to him, his hands quick and his movements quicker. Alice pushed him back, he fell backwards onto the grass and chuckled, brushing off his pants and walking back towards Alice. This time he wasn't able to push him back, he had already climbed on top of Alice, his arms pinning him to the tree. He smiled hungrily, taking a deep inhale of his illuminous scent.
"hmmm~ i love your smell....it's like a soft vanilla mixed with roses~" he said sweetly. His tone drastically softened within seconds, and it was very comforting to listen to, despite his earlier frightening deminor. "W-who a-are you?" Alice asked, stuttering from fear. He smiled again, backing away from Alice momentarily. "You don't need to know my name...just know that I won't harm your little head" He muttered lovingly. Alice cringed at the tone of his voice, that awful romantic comedic vibe was hurting her brain. "So....what brings you here uhm.....w-what is your name?" He asked curiously. Backing farther away from Alice and hopping into a tree, placing his hands onto either side of his cheeks, leaning on his elbows.
Alice stood up from the tree, the fear he once felt for the creature had vanished. "My name is Alice, tell me, where am I? How did I get here?" He spoke strongly to the translucent cat man in a tree. "Alice? The Alice?!....well...how delightful~" He said happily turning so his back was facing the tree branch. "About your questions...ah! I know...I'll take you too the Hare and The Hatter, They'll me able to tell you what you need to know~.."
His voice deepend, and his tone was back to frightening, yet Alice was forced to trust him. He complied, following the flying cat down another narrow woodsy path.
