Chapter Four: "Well... Frick"

"no" you remark "Karla what are you doing here" you run up to hug your friend "I thought you might need a friendly face from back home so I came here" she hugs you back as she says this "how long are you here for and where exactly are you staying" you ask pulling away from the hug "a while and I was hoping i could stay with you, since you are the only person I know here" Karla asked in a sort of pleading manner. You sigh and slightly facepalm "you couldn't have called me before, or just told me about this on the phone earlier" your annoyed tone was obvious to her "I didn't think about that..." she looks at you with another pleading look "but for as long as I'm here I can pay half of everything I promise" "fine, but you are sleeping on the couch for now and I'll work on getting my stuff out of my office room so you can stay in there" you sigh 'It wont be so bad to have Karla here, though I wish she would have told me earlier then just after I got home for the night' you think to yourself "I'm going to bed, I got work tomorrow" you say heading to your room "okay goodnight (y/n)" Karla replies and you go and flop onto the bed to finally pass out for the night.

You wake up the next morning tired as hell, get ready for work and try to silently get past Karla so she doesn't wake up, then begin your bus ride to work. you don't think it is very safe to drive when you are extremely tired so if you have an option to ride the bus when you are tired you take it gladly, though you usually prefer driving yourself.

Nothing exciting happened at work, didn't even see Wrench that day though, the odd-seeming back room still had a person walk either out or in at some point 'always the same three people' you thought to yourself as your boss came in to talk to you"hey (y/n) Sean called in sick today you'll have to take over his shift, of course, you'll be paid overtime though if you don't want to it is understandable" "oh it's alright I can take over the shift, I mean I'm already here" you replied "great thank you (y/n)" your boss said walking out for the night "no problem" you sigh realizing you have to spend five more hours here

Your extra shift was close to ending and you couldn't be happier to get the hell out of there for the night, though you enjoy to be the cashier at a small game store, it gets monotonous when you are doing it for thirteen hours. You grabbed your stuff to leave for the day and went outside you sat out front for a minute deciding to use the Driver SF app for the first time 'hoping for no creepy drivers, and hopefully not much conversation, whatever beggars can't be choosers' you think to yourself as you sit down on the edge of the sidewalk. The sound of the city was soothing as you sat there in silence, every once in a while you would overhear a passing phone call or just two or more people talking as they walk down the street, until you realized that you where sitting on the sidewalk alone in the city and your mind began to focus on the sounds of distant police sirens or car alarms but before you could have a complete panic attack the person driving you home was there almost there, so you stood up and a few seconds later the driver was there and you got in the car. The drive was quiet as you hoped and at this point you noticed that the driver had taken a wrong turn "um s-sir you took a wrong turn" you stated trying to be polite "a shortcut (y/n)" the driver responded "okay then" you tried to let yourself relax but you kept looking over at the driver 'this guy seems to contempt to just be a driver, I should have just taken the bus, I always take the shortest route home and that is the route I gave this guy. God this is dangerous, I shouldn't have used this fucking app' worry kicked in quickly and you fainted feeling just a slight prick in your neck for some reason.

Some time after you woke up, blindfolded with your hands bound together, you sit up to an upright position "well frick..." you manage to say in a casual tone though you are mentally dying "(y/n) (y/l/n)" a person said "I'm gonna just cut to the chase (y/n), what do you know about dedsec" "all I know is that they are hackers that got the CEO of blume arrested" you said your tone shrinking from fear "really because we have a feeling you know more, like where their hideout is" the unknown person replied "I don't know any more than what I told you" you retort "don't lie, you can get your friend in much more trouble, not to mention yourself" the person"I have no idea what you are talking about, I sincerely don't know anything, please just let me go home" you began to cry as you fear this might be the end of you "I just want to go home...." "sir do you want me to begin further questioning" you hear a second person say "fine she will crack eventually" the first said the voice growing more distant "okay you are going to begin talking unlike my boss I am not afraid to hurt you, now where are they hiding" the person asked "I don't know" you answer truthfully. You feel a hard punch against the left side of your face "where" the person shouted "I don't know" you reply and get hit again "where!" the person shouts again "I don't know" you shout back crying and you brace yourself for another hit, instead just hearing a loud explosion "what the he-" you hear the person say before a gunshot. The fact you couldn't see made your terror worse, you where frozen with fear of what may come next. "(y/n)! Holy shit what did they do to you!" a very familiar robotic tone said and never once have you been so happy to hear it. Soon the binding on your hands was cut and the blindfold removed, you opened your teary eyes and through your blurred vision you saw Wrench there his mask expression (O O) you tried to speak only letting out a sob as you buried your face in your hands resting your elbows on your knees but soon you were picked up and carried you to the truck.
