Chapter 1: Meeting him

I was walking to the bathroom with Faithlynn and this really hot guy walked by. We made eye contact a couple times while he was walking by. Knowing Faithlynn she would go for him.

We had nothing to do that day so we decided that we were going to go hiking. Which wasnt smart because it was almost dark.. But its not like we cared, we were young and crazy. I walked into my tent to change, i pulled off my tank top and put an over sized t-shirt on, pulled off my shorts and put pants on. Trying to put my shoes on everyone was yelling at me to hurry. "Jessie come on!!" Sydra yelled out. "Give me two seconds" i yelled back. "Get your ass out here or were leaving you" she yelled back. For some reason they could change at the speed of light and i couldnt..

On our way up there we passed him again. OH MY GOD!!! He wasnt wearing a shirt.. We all sighed when he walked by, he had an amazing six pack. He turned around and actually spoke to us. "Hey... Are you guys headed to the cave?"  Faithlynn spoke up quicker than we had time to process what he said. "Yupp" she said in her really obnoxious girly voice. Audri and I were always pushed to the back when a cute boy was talking to us, or should i say them.

I was in my own little word when Sydra grabbed my arm jerking me along. When i realized that we wernt walking to the cave anymore i whispered to her.

"Where are we going?"  "Have you not been paying attention. Wait what am i asking you were stairing at the ground the whole time." she replied a litttle louder than i hoped. "Sorry.. You know im not good with guys.. And i was just zoning out.. So where are we going?" I whispered so quiet she could barley hear me hoping shed get that i didnt want every one to hear our conversartion. "We're going back to his camp so he can change and then hes coming with us."  How much did i really miss.. "Ohh okay." "Ohh and his names James." She added.

I looked up to see where we were and of course Faithlynn was all over him. I really wished i looked like her so i could get guys like him.. I was so awkward when we got to his camp because his whole family was there.. I stood behind everyone hoping no one would notice me. When someone walked up behind me and out their hand on the small of my back. I turned to see who it was. OH GOD! it was him. He was snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Huh?" i mummbled. He giggled and said "I never caught your name.." "Uhh.. i..tts ... Meg..an" i stuttered. He giggled and walked up to Faithlynn i was waiting for this to happen.

"We can go now" he said to Faithlynn. They walked by me. They were so close to each other i was almost jealous. But i knew it would never happen for me

"Its faithlynn we're talking about here" Sydra told me. "I know but still. I wish a guy would go for one of us just not alway her." I tried saing under my breath but it didnt really work she heard me. "The right guy for you will come one day. Just like Alex is here for me." She said turning to him and giving him a kiss on the check.

Running up to Audri, who wast s following behind Faithlynn and james. I hear Sydra call out "Just give it time you know it will happen." Bumping her shouder i smiled at her and she smiled back. "What was that all about?" She asked kicking rocks. "What was what about?" I asked confused. "What Sydra yelled after you?" "Ohh nothing, just drop it please" I pleaded. Aduri is one of those friends that will drop something if you aske them to. Yeah i know shes dying to ask but she doesnt. "So whats wrong i can tell something is." "I.. Just wish Sam was here.." Sam was her boyfriend. They all had a boyfriend except for me. Well Faithlynn didnt yet. But by the end of the night she will."

We've been hiking this whole time. Well since we left his camp. It was a long way up to the cave. The rest of the way we walked in silence. Well except for Faithlynn giggling.

As soon as we got to the trail we started hiking. James stood off to the side and gestured for us to go first. "Ladies first" he said. So Faithlynn started climbing, Audri, Sydra, Alex followed. of course i was last and he was behind me. I started climbing, trying my hardest not to be the clutz i am and fall. Well i was looking down at the path and of course i slipped and fell. James put his hand on my back to steady me. "Th..th..thanks" I stuttered. "Dont mention it, now keep going" he said. I started to climb again. He was kinda being rude. its not like i even asked for his help. This is why i like being last so no one has to wait for me to get up from falling.

"Why dont you just go ahead if you dont want to keep helping me?" I honestly thought i said that in my mind. OH my god.. i didnt mean to say that! Shit. I ruined our chances of every being friends. "Because, If i left you behind just think how bad of a person your friends would think i was." he said calmly. I turned around and sat down so i was facing him. "Why the hell would they care? How else do you think i get up here when you wernt here? Huh?" For some reason i just wasnt in a good mood. "They meet me at the top. Thats what everyones used to" I continue. "Well im not everyone else sorry. If someone needs hel im going to help them." I sat there awkwardly. "Please leave me alone. Just go."

When I  got to the top of the hill everyone yelled Well everyone except for James.  "Finally!" it'd not like I was even that far behind them. "Can you Shut up already?" I looked down and started walking..

Guess who ran up to me. Yeah you guessed it. James "Hey Megan, Slow down." he pleaded. "Huh?" I asked not slowing down. "Please slow down." I stopped and turned around where he was standing "What?" i asked. "Whats wrong?" He asked. "Nothing. Theres nothing wrong. You might want to go back to Faithlynm before she gets mad."
