My Earth Bender Love Story (Legend of Korra fanfic)

                                                                     Ch.1 New Arrival!

"Mom im so happy! Tomorrow  I get to go to Republic City! They said the new avatar is there." I say excitingly. She laughed. "Im glad your exited to go there.You deserve it! Your the best earth bender I know." She winked. " I better start packing." I get up and go to my room. I cant wait to meet my father there. Hes going to train me and learn with me about the past of the city. I already know about how Aang brought peice there and all. One of my friends informed me about it.  But I waited till the whole equalist attack war finished. Some of my family went on ships to help but some never came back. Mom wasn't so  sure about it since that but she said as long as Im careful I could go! I packed  a lot of clothes and stuff and then climbed into bed. Tomorrows gonna be a big day.

"Kinsley! Get up! Its 6!" My mom yelled. I shot straight up and dashed for the bathroom to wash up. "Today's a new start." I thought while braiding my hair. Usually I leave my hair in  a low messy braid in the back. But I put it on the side and left two small pieces on each side of my face.When I finished that I put on a tight green top with tightish black pants and some armor looking boots. To finish it off I put on a necklace. It has a golden pendent on it with the earth bending symbol engraved on it. Ready! I ran into the room grabbed the bags and went into the kitchen. "I wish you good luck sweetie." Mother said. She gave me a hug and kissed my forehead.  "Bye mom I love you!" I yelled and went out the door. Standing in front of me waved my grandfather. He lived in the city so he wanted to pick  me up. Were going to arrive by a ship. I hugged him and we walked and talked to the ship. "Well here it is! Your transportation to your new life! " Grandpa sang with happiness. "Thank you grandpa." We walked on and I put my things into a room and sat down to take a breathe.New life. What will happen to me? I know I wont be changed,just better. I said and smiled. It took a 3 days to get there. "Hey Kinsley wake up were here!" My grandpa said while waking me up. I shot up and ran outside to see. My eyes opened up so wide, "Wow its amazing! Look at the Aang statue!" I said really fast. He laughed. "Go get your things. I want to show you around." I nodded and got my things. The ship stopped and helped everyone get off. My grandpa took my things and set them in the car. "Whoa. That's cool! Never seen this before!" I jumped in and signaled for him to hurry up. "Okay okay." He chirped. We drove off and arrived at a smallish looking house. "Is this your house?" I ask. "Yep. But this isnt it. Set your things down and jump back in." He said. I ranin and threw my things and jumped back into the car. We stopped and parked it and walked around the shops. "Oh wheres my father?" "Him? Hes still setting up for your training. So it ll be tomorrow when you train." Grandpa said with a smile. I nodded. "Pro-bending tournament tonight! The fire ferrets against the Sloth Henge!" I heard coming from the radio. "Whats pro bending?" I asked confused. "Ah! Forgot to tell you. Its when a two teams fight each other. Not fight but-how bout I take you to the tournament tonight to show you!" "Sounds fun!" I say. The day pasted on quickly. "Okay its time for the match!" We got into the cara and drove to this huge golden like place. "This is the arena." He says. We walked in and found seats. It was about time to start but I saw a strange girl with a high pony tail and a red outfit. Is she a fire bender! I got exited and ran out side into the hallways. My grandpa didn't notice He was talking to this guy. "Uhm excuse me. But are you a fire bender?" I asked behind her. She turned around. "Uh..yes. You dont know who I am?" She asks. "No..sorry. Should I?" I felt bad. She laughed. "Im Korra." She said. "You know the avatar." There was a short pause."Avatar? The avatar!" I basically screamed. "Haha. Yep." "I am so sorry!" "Its ok/Whats your name?" She asked. "Kinsley.Why are you doing pro bending?"  "Well two of my friends got me interested.And its fun." She said. "Two friends? Wait your apart of a team which one?"  "Were called the Fire Ferrets. Me,Mako,and Bolin." " Anyway are you a fire bender?" She asks. "Aha no I actually am a earth bender. But I  came here to train." "I did to. But air bending instead. Which I finally mastered." "Lucky! I wish I was a air bender,or water bender. Or even earth bender!" I say getting exited again. "Calm down. Haha. You seem different. You know I only let some people come behind the scenes." Korra said. "What do you mean?" "Well if this is your first time do you want a good seat?" She asks. I looked at her and jumped. "That would be amazing!" I yelled. She laughed again. "Come on you can meet the rest of us." She started  to walk and I followed her. She stopped infont of a room then walked in. "Hey Mako, Bolin. This  is Kinsley!" Korra greeted me. I waved and looked around. "This is so cool!" I say. "Korra we cant bring people in here at our own will." Mako says to Korra. "But shes cool!"" She insstead with a smile. Bolin came up to me and held out his hand. "Hello my names Bolin." He said with a smile. I shaked his hand. "Kinsley." I smiled back. "This is his brother Mako." Korra said happily. "Hi nice to meet you." He informed. "Oh and this is Pabu!" Bolin put him in my face. I awed and petted him. "Hes adorable. I heard the announcer say the fire ferrets. "Do good guys!" I yell. They turned and nodded.
