SHE MAY AS WELL have had just tattooed "The Petrova Hybrid" on her forehead with the way things were turning out. Madeline Gilbert couldn't help but think that the world had it in for her or that the ancestors put her here on earth just to screw with her head for their own personal amusement.

Maddie sighed as she walked into the hospital. After the raven extravaganza, Maddie grabbed her sketchbook and when Stiles went to question her, she ran. It seemed like a reasonable response for her at the time, but now that she thought back on it, she mentally scolded herself for not explaining.

Anyway, after receiving a call from a guy named Derek Hale, saying he needed her to protect two people at the hospital, it was obvious that she needed to help. Like, how else was her ego suppose to grow? Especially after what had happened at school.

The names of the two people were Scott McCall and Isaac Lahey and Madeline knew better than to ignore a warning. Getting there just in time to see Scott outside the elevator, Maddie sighed in relief. It saved her time from searching the damn building in and out. "Scott!" Maddie called out before running to him.

"Maddie? What are you doing here?" He asked in confusion as he looked at the Petrova Hybrid and she huffed. "You and your friend Isaac are in trouble. We need to get him and get out now. Don't ask, I'll explain later." Maddie informed as the elevator door opened and Maddie thought about how this elevator had great comedic timing.

Scott just nodded in bewilderment as they hopped in and Scott waited for Maddie to press the button, but Maddie was waiting for Scott as she didn't know what floor Isaac was on. Maddie looked to him after a second of awkward silence, her expression informing anyone that looked at her, about how absolutely done with this whole situation she was.

"Aren't you going to press the fucking button?" Maddie asked and Scott looked at her like a deer caught in headlights. "I-I thought you were going to press the button." Scott stumbled and Maddie scoffed. "Scott, you're the one who knows what floor he's on. I am many things but a freaking mind reader isn't one of them. Press the damn button please." Maddie sighed and Scott just nodded, pressing the second floor button.

The doors started closing before a walking stick stopped them, and a blind man walked in. "Can you press the button for the second floor please?" He asked and Scott looked at Maddie who shrugged at the boy. Scott gave her an exasperated look before repressing the button. "Thank you." The man said and Maddie looked to Scott who nodded.

"No problem." Maddie said giving Scott a look. What idiot nods their response to a blind man, Maddie thought before the doors closed fully. The three rode up the elevator and the doors opened. Scott and Maddie went to walk out when the walking stick stopped Maddie.

"You wouldn't mind helping me out for a second, would ya?" The man asked and Maddie held in a sigh as she threw on a polite smile. "Of course not." She said before nodding to Scott who went to find Isaac. After taking the man to the room he asked to go to, Maddie ran down the halls before bumping into Scott.
