The Red Portal- Teen Titans fanfic.

Chapter 1: Azerath.

Back in the days before Azerath became ashes. There they lived, the childs of trigon, the world conqueror demon, father of two, Rachel, and Michael. In the times where there was peace, Rachel, given the nickname, Raven by his friend, Michael. They ware united, and inseparable.

But as they reputation as the daughter and son of the demon, all Azerath denied them, leaving them apart from their culture. One day, in the playground behind the old castle, they made a promise, a promise never to be forgotten, and that promise was staying together, no matter what.

Unfortunately, that promise didn't last long, since the day after, Trigon came to claim what was his, all Azerath would fall to his feet, and he'll burn it all, leaving memories behind. Luckily for Raven, she escaped due to her mother's last forces of creating a portal to another planet, but she leaved Michel behind, breaking their promise.

"Mike... I'm sorry."

Actual day, Japan.

"Woo-hoo! Vacations in Japan here we are!" Victor, known as Cyborg, one of Raven's friends when she arrived, cheered as he got down from a cruise ship. He is half human, half robot.

"Yeah bro! Time for maid cafe!" Garfield, known as Beast Boy, a green earth boy, witch could turn into any animal in the known animal kingdom, said showing his smile.

"It is most glorious!" Koriand'r, known as Starfire, an alien girl that escaped from her planet, with the ability to shoot energy fron her eyes and hands, and learn new languages throughout lip contact.

"Guys, calm down, don't draw attention." Dick Grayson, known as Robin, sidekick of a hero from Gotham City, Batman. He's the leader of the team titans, and his abilities are martial arts, and stealth.

"So excited, woo." and Rachel, her friends call her Raven as well, and since she controlled her emotions to keep her powers under control, she was monotonous in every way possible.

The team of 5 young heroes, commenced their vacations on Japan, after a long time fighting crime, or so they say.

"Isn't it great Cy?! We finaly get to rest!" Beast Boy yells stretching his arms wide.

"Rest? You lazy punks don't do anything at the tower, and you're gonna rest?" Raven said rising her right eyebrow.

"Come on Raven! You know we deserve this vacations!" Cyborg says placing his arm over her shoulder.

"Sure." Raven responds sarcastically, getting away from Cyborg's arm.

"C'mon Rae! You know it's great! It's Japan!" Beast Boy tries,to cheer Raven up, bit it seemed merely impossible.

"I heard there's a dark room for meditation." Robin said giving a little smile.

"You sure know how to make me happy." Raven replied in a monotonous but convincing way.

The whole team would stay a whole week in Japan, their excitement couldn't be stopped, or at least they tought. Arriving to the hotel, they settled in, Beast Boy, Robin, and Cyborg stayed in one room, Raven and Starfire in another.

It seemed comfortable, but Raven's intuition told her something was off, and usually it ment something really bad, like demon bad. Raven took precautions, and casted a spell to keep her friends safe, even though it may not be enough.

"Friend Raven, I will go take the bath!" Starfire said while heading into the bathroom, a white towel on hand.

"Sure." Raven replied to herself, looking through the window of the hotel, that had a perfect view of the beach.

Some time passed, and Starfire got out of the bathroom, Raven coming in next, she had a black towel, and a purple pajama Beast Boy gifted her last Christmas. She turned the shower, and stood underneath for a couple of seconds, as Starfire yelled she was going out to explore.

Raven took the opportunity and stayed in the tub for a couple of more minutes, until a strong wind made the glass panels of the balcony tremble. She quickly dressed up, and went out, seeing the glass panels totally still, but her bad feeling got worse.

"Show yourself! I know,there's someone there." She said concentrating magic on her hands.

"Chill Rae, it's just me, Beast Boy." Garfield turned back into a human, from the snake shape he had before.

"What are you doing here?" Raven asked a bit pissed off.

"You know... Checking if you ware goof an' all." He said scratching the back of his head.

"Anything else?" She asked armed crossed.

"Well... I-" Before he talked, all the crystals sploted, alarming both.

A red portal opened, and sparks came from within, breaking all glass in the room. Raven and Beast Boy ducked to the floor level, and waited, soon the portal disappeared, leaving only shards behind.

"What was that?!" Beast Boy shouted in surprise.

"I don't know... But you need to get out." Raven commanded a bit roughly.

"And leave you alone? No way!" BB replied, showing determination.

"I said out... Now!" Raven yelled, blowing off easily that determination.

After the door closed behind Beast Boy, Raven stared at the windows, now feeling a wreath of air dash through. Things couldn't be calm, not with her on the team, and less alone.
