Damon's POV

It's been three days without Anna. Something inside of me knew that she was out there somewhere. Still alive. Still human. The other part in me knew that Klaus found her and had some dinner. Why? Why did I let her go out by herself?! What was I thinking?! That's the problem with me. I don't think. I wasn't thinking! I let the girl I love be bait for Klaus. Stupid!

Stefan and I were driving around Los Angeles. Bonnie and Elena were too. This can't be happening! I kept telling myself over and over again that it's not, but this is reality. This is real.

"We should start checking the whole state." Stefan said. I was still driving as he spoke. I kept looking straight ahead. I rolled my eyes, "Like that's gonna do anything." I said. Stefan leaned forward, "Klaus could be hiding her anywhere here. Not just Los Angeles." He said. I looked at him. Does Stefan even remember how Klaus is? Klaus maybe a manipulative dic, but Klaus was smart. I parked the car on the side if a highway road. Stefan looked at me frustrated. Before Stefan could speak, I spoke.

"Klaus wouldn't take Anna just anywhere," I said, "there's no way in hell she's still in California." Stefan rolled his eyes at me. I hated when people did that to me. It's so annoying, but this is my little brother so I found it funny, "Then where do you think she is?" Stefan said making it sound like I wont have an answer for it. I turned around the car to the opposite direction we were going before, "Get cozy, little brother," I said, "We're going to New Orleans."

Anna's POV

"You're an idiot," a woman said. My skin was against something hard and cold. My whole body was covered with goosebumps. My eyes slowly opened. My neck was soar. I touched it. I felt two bumps. It felt like a mosquito bite, but of course it wasn't. Am I dead? I didn't feel any different. I don't know if I am supposed to feel different. I sat up achy. I looked up at the woman. She had long curly hair. Dark clothes. High heeled boots.

I groaned realizing who it was. The woman stepped forward and bent down next to me, "Did you miss me?" She said. I looked up at her coldly, "Katherine," I spat. She smiled at me, "The one and only." She spoke slowly. Katherine stood up and crossed her arms. I thought this was all a hallucination until I felt the pain coming from my side. Katherine kicked me causing me to roll onto my back. I groaned in pain. Katherine smiled. She put her foot against my chest. The geek of her show was against my heart. I tried to push it off, but she seemed stronger.

"How did you come back?" I said.

"I always come back," she said, "I'm a survivor."

"Go to hell."

"Don't talk to me like that. We're fam-ily." She said saying every syllable in family.

"Maybe by blood, but defiantly not by heart." I muttered.

Katherine chuckled. Her chuckle was cold as rain. She seemed amused to everything right now, "Exactly," she said. Katherine picked up a fire poker against the wall. That's when I realized I was in a stone cell. That's why everything felt chilled. Why does everyone own a cell? But right when Katherine wrapped her hands around that fire poker every single feeling I have ever had went away. Just disappeared, "That's why you need to go," she said, "You are in my way." I bite my bottom lip and then gave her a weak smile, "Do it then," I said, "you'll be doing me a favor."

Katherine took her foot off my chest and put her hands on her hip. She still had the fire poker around her fingers. She gave me a sarcastic smile, "Goodbye, Sweetheart." She said. Then I felt a rush of wind. I heard a snap and Katherine fell to the ground. Katherine was lying on the floor. I looked up and saw Klaus standing in front of me.
