Ch. 1

I woke up early Monday morning for my first day of spring break. This spring break my parents are forcing me to go on a dumb cruise with them for a week. I'd rather stay home and hang out with Shawn.

"Hurry up and bring your suitcase down honey!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

I got up and got ready for the plane ride to Florida, because I live in Virginia and the cruise is taking off from Florida. It was a pretty cold day in Virginia but Florida should be a lot warmer. I put on my sweats and put my hair in a messy bun. I then walked downstairs carrying my large suitcase.

Downstairs I saw Shawn, he came to say goodbye to me before I left. Shawn was my bestfriend since 4th grade and was like a brother to me since I had no siblings.

Shawn ran up to me hugging me like a big huge teddy bear, I hugged him even tighter.
"I don't want you to go, I won't have anyone to hang out with over spring break while your gone!" Shawn said. "Shut up Shawn, I'm only gonna be gone for a week." I replied back.

We both laughed and said our goodbyes, I really was gonna miss Shawn, he was pretty much my only friend in town.

My dad took my suitcase to the car and then drove us all to the airport. We arrived and waited to aboard our flight. We got on and I just listened to music the entire ride.

We arrived in Miami, Florida and stayed at a hotel for a night before we had to board the ship early Tuesday morning.

I had to admit it was gonna be pretty boring just hanging out with my parents the whole trip. They kept saying maybe i'd meet some new friends but I wasn't to sure about that. I'm a very shy and reserved person, I don't make friends very easily.

The next morning we got up, grabbed all our stuff and called for a taxi. The taxi took us to the massive cruise ship we would be boarding.

About 2 hours later we were all settled in the tiny room. My parents went out to dinner on the ship but I didn't feel like going. I stayed in bed and read the fault in our stars for the 5th time, that book is amazing.

My parents came back to the room around 11 and I decided to take a walk around the ship because most people were in their rooms. I walked past the pools, past the lobby area and past a few restaurants.

I came to a deck area and found a bench to sit at. It was a really pretty view from here, there were so many stars and the sky was gorgeous.

There was still some people out on the deck area. I happen to spot someone who looked really familiar. He was wearing Kakis, vans, and a grey obey shirt. Was that?...No it couldn't be.

I looked a little closer and the boy turned around, it was Matthew Espinosa from school. He was like the most popular kid In school. I hated him even though he was so freaking hot.

I swear he saw me. But I didn't want him too, I don't want him to know I'm hear. I didn't know what to do so I quickly walked back to my room and laid down and fell asleep.
