I was dancing around my trailer getting ready for my first day at Riverdale High. I wore a low-key outfit so I don't draw too much attention to myself. My jacket happened to have an 'R' on it so it was the perfect 'Anti-Riverdale First Day of School' outfit.

I decided not to fan the flames between south side and north side so I chose not to advertise the serpents with any "gang paraphernalia". As I was dancing around to Rihanna, I was about to put my shirt on when I heard a chuckle behind me. I turned to see Sweet Pea laughing at me. I grabbed the closest thing to me and threw it at him. He saw the beer bottle coming and moved out the way...barely. What the hell was he doing here?
"Are you ready to go?"
"I just need to put my shirt on and brush my teeth. Then we can head out. And stop coming in my trailer unannounced. You don't fucking live here!" I yelled angrily. He just chuckled and sat on the couch while he waited for me. I turned around and caught him checking me out. I snapped my fingers at him so he would snap out of it. He chuckled and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. He's such a flirt!
I hopped on the back of his bike, since I didn't have one of my own yet, and we sped off. We made it to school, and met up with Toni, Fangs, and all the other serpents. We walked in the school to see some raven-haired girl standing at a table that was settled right in front of the main entrance.
"On behalf of the students and faculty here at Riverdale High, we welcome you to your new school! To ease this transition, I've set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignments, class schedules, and a list of sports and extracurricular activities. We encourage each and every one of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale."
I have to admit, I admired the effort that was put in to make us feel welcomed.
"Stand down, Eva Peron!"

"There's the school spirit I so fondly remember." Jughead murmured to me and Toni. We couldn't help but laugh softly to ourselves. I knew it was only a matter of time. It was nice while it lasted. Now, it's time to raise hell.
"No one invited Fascist Barbie to the party." said the raven-haired girl.
"Wrong, Veronica, no one invited Southside scum to our school." said some bitchy redhead.
I don't know who the hell she's calling scum, but she better watch what she says before I rip her to shreds.
"Listen up, Ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale High's above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with underachievers. So please, do us all a favor, and find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways."
"Why don't you come over here and say that to my face?" Toni stepped up to the redhead and I was gonna let her kill this girl, but Fogarty stopped her.
"Happily, Queen of the Buskers."
As the argument died off, I noticed some guy staring at me.
"The fuck are you looking at?" I said to him already annoyed at the situation at hand. He just smirked and walked off.
I walked around looking for my locker. If that lovely introduction was any indication of how the rest of the day would be, then today was going to be interesting to say the least.
All of the Serpents were sitting together during lunch and talking about our day so far. I was happy to hear that not everyone was being hostile towards us. A lot of us were talking about which after school activities we wanted to join. Sweet Pea was next to me talking about joining the basketball team, Toni was thinking about joining cheerleading, and I told the Serpents that I wanted to join Chess and Art Club. They all nodded their head in approval. A vast majority of them knew how much of a nerd I was so they didn't bother giving me any crap about it. I got up to throw my trash away when I felt someone breathing on my neck. I turned around to see that guy from earlier. I tried to side step him, but he mirrored my motions in both directions so I sighed in defeat. I stood there for a full minute before I lost my patience.
"Do you fucking want something or are you just gonna stare into my damn eyes?!"
He chuckled again and had this smirk on his face that made me even more mad. He leaned down in my ear and whispered "I want you."
