(Y/N) had decided to go out and explore the island. She wore sunglasses and had her hat over her face while walking around the market.
She wasn't anxious considering she had been doing this for years. However, she felt uneasy whenever she would pass one of her wanted posters or overhear people discussing them.
Suddenly she noticed that there were marines patrolling and turned around to tell the others that they needed to set sail.
When she heard shouts and cries she turned back and saw the marines harassing some civilians.
She growled to herself. These were those kinds of marine soldiers. The kind that let their position get to their heads.
She was conflicted about whether or not she was going to get involved until she saw them harassing the children as well.
Her eyes turned dark as she walked over.
"Don't be mean to my mommy!" a little girl yelled as she kicked one of the marine soldiers in the shin.
"Why you little brat!" the soldier yelled as he raised his hand.
(Y/N) caught his wrist and glanced from underneath her hat. Her eyes were dark and unrecognizable.
"I did not just see you about to strike a child. Did I?" she asked while gripping his wrist tighter until a snap was heard.
"Gahh! You bitch!" he yelled as he held his wrist to his chest.
The other marine soldiers raised their weapons on her and she sighed before glancing around. There were too many people who would be caught in the crossfire if a fight broke out.
"Can't be helped." she mused as she took off her glasses and hat with a smug smile.
The soldiers and civilians turned white and mumbled her old name over and over before the soldiers ran away in fear.
(Y/N) blinked for a second, then looked at the mother and child.
She held out a hand to help the mother up only to have it slapped away. This was ordinary to her so she just sighed.
"Why were they harassing you?" she asked.
The child, who didn't know better, answered.
"Mama was just borrowing it!" she yelled. "My brother needed it!"
(Y/N) raised her brow and noticed the mother clutching a bottle of pills to her chest.
She reached into her coat and the mother flinched before (Y/N) held out a pouch in front of her.
"Take it." she simply said and placed it in the mother's free hand.
The mothers' eyes widened when she looked inside. "But-How? Why?" she stammered.
(Y/N) chuckled. "You just saw what happened, didn't you? Not all people on the 'right side' are good and not everyone claimed to be evil are bad." she said as she helped the mother up.
"Go take care of your son." she said while gently patting the mothers' shoulder.
Suddenly (Y/N) felt a slight pain on the side of her head where a rock had struck her.
She looked over to see that some people had gathered around them and they did not look happy.
They were holding rocks and bats and yelled at the mother and child, calling them traitors. Not surprising since this was a small village, these places usually had narrow-minded people in it.
