It's been seven days since you've met Jungkook and three since you last saw him. You two went out to see a movie, but other than that nothing too exciting had happened. With Jungkook being employed it's harder to spend time with him, and although you don't exactly like it you understand that there's nothing you can do. He's a grown adult that needs to earn a living—building a friendship will need to come second. For this reason you decide it's best for Jungkook to decide when you both hang out, since he's got a work schedule and isn't always free to meet up, unlike you.

Albeit skeptical at first, you were able to convince your mom by some miracle that you and Jungkook were nothing more than friends. For the first few days after meeting him she opened up her own investigation and questioned you. After running in circles repeatedly, it seemed that she eventually trusted you enough to believe in the friendship and she let you off the hook.

You didn't tell your father about Jungkook, but you were sure he heard of him through your mother. Your mom often turned to your father for advice, whether it be concerning work, problems with friends, and sometimes you. You've heard them sometimes at night, sitting in their bed as your mom vented to your dad. He would listen silently before offering his suggestions to the matter and that would be it. You were sure your mom kept his words in the back of her mind, and most often than not she probably used his advice to solve the problem. Although your mother is the one that appears more dominant in the relationship, she loves your father dearly and would never let his words go to waste.

With your mother's approval of the friendship, you didn't need to worry about keeping Jungkook a secret. So when he finally texted you this morning saying he was free to hang out today, you told your mom your plans for the day and she simply told you to have fun before kissing you goodbye.

On your way to Jungkook's work you also texted Erika. Your friend had asked you to tell her whenever you go out with Jungkook so that she could mentally support you. The request was strange, no doubt about it, but you complied with it. It's not like it was hurting anyone, if anything it just showed how great a friend Erika was.

It took longer than it would if you had taken public transport, but you eventually arrived at the (store). Walking into the store, you quickly found Jungkook talking to a man at the back. You walked closer to Jungkook stopped a good distance away, not wanting to be rude and interrupt the conversation. Jungkook noticed you, however, and motioned for you to come over. You shook your head no, feeling guilty for disturbing Jungkook and this man, but Jungkook wasn't having any of that. He walked over to you and grabbed onto your wrist.

"Don't be shy, I want you to meet someone," he said softly.

You directed your gaze to the man Jungkook was talking with and had the pleasure of finally seeing his face. The man was incredibly handsome with black hair and deep purple eyes. He was tall too and you couldn't help but think you were standing in front of a model.

"This is one of my friends, Kim Seokjin. You can call him Jin though," Jungkook introduced his friend.

You gave Jin a smile and stuck out your hand. "I'm (Y/n) (L/n), nice to meet you."

"The pleasure is all mine," Jin said before taking your hand and giving you a flying kiss with his free one. You were left stunned by the unpredictable actions and couldn't stop you mouth from gaping open in surprise. Jin immediately burst out into laughter—a contagious one at that—and released your hand. "Sorry, I think I was a little forceful."

"U-Uh, no it's fine. I've never been put in a situation like this before, that's all," you said, unable to hide the waver in your voice.

"It's a habit he has, you'll probably get used to it after the first few times," Jungkook said with a shake of his head.
