*Ashley POV*
As the door opened my throat went dry and all the introductory words I'd known since I was three disappeared.
"Hey" she said through a blinding grin.
My mouth still wasn't cooperating and the pause was becoming way to long.
"Are you okay?"
Still nothing. I need to sort myself out or she's just gonna shut the door in my face.
"Ash..Ah.. Ashley.. About before, look I'm sorry. I shouldn't have overstepped. We can chat about it! I don't want it to be weird. I'm really sorry I just, well, you're really pretty and I just felt so comfortable today and it was nice and I've not felt that for a while and, ah god I shouldn't be saying that, ah, okay well maybe-""Tobin"
It seemed to stop her little rant that was going on for enough time for me to gather my thoughts. But apparently not long enough because I still had no words for her.
Instead I walked into her room and started gazing out the window. She gingerly followed after shutting the door. Standing behind me next to her bed I could hear her breathing nervously.
Then I said the lamest thing I literally could have.
"You're really cool Tobin"As I turned to face her, her face relaxed as she chuckled, confused.
"Are we okay?"
"Yeah"
"Can you have another look at my foot please? It seems to have puffed up a bit"So it seemed we were either going to never acknowledge the elephant, or the elephant would be dealt with at a later time.
She laid down on bed bed and I got to having a look at her foot. I decided to go grab her some ice for her ankle. The walk to the trainers room went by way too quick. The storm of swirling thoughts in my head almost made me walk into a pole.
*****
Okay so honestly I hate this chapter so much. Let me know your thoughts but I'm really hoping the next one is way better.
Still trying to work out where I'm going to take this.
