Prompt: 20 years later, it's been 20 years and little Lindsay is 25, and today happens to be the day she marries the love of her life. After the wedding, she goes to her dad's grave

-Corbyn's POV-

"You ready baby girl?" I asked my beautiful daughter who was now 25 and is about to get married to the love of her life.

"Yea I am," she said as she shook her hands. Something her dad always did when he was nervous.

"Alright lets go," I smiled at her which she returned. But it was fake. I knew her like the back of my hand.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I wish he was here today," she said as tears filled up her eyes. "I miss him. This day was supposed to be one of the best days of my life and it is. But I can't be completely happy because a part of me is missing," she confessed as she cried.

"Oh baby," I said and pulled her for a hug as a sob escaped her lips.

"Baby listen, he's here. In your heart," I said and pointed to her heart.

"That part that your missing will always be there baby and I am so sorry you have to deal with it. But it's the truth. I won't lie to you. It's always gonna be there. Because you lost someone, someone you love." I told her as she nodded.

"And there's days where you won't get out of bed cause of the pain. Especially on certain days we miss him the most. And that's normal. It's been 20 years baby girl and we still miss and we always will. He's part of you baby and he always will be. He's so proud of you and how far you've come. But he doesn't want you to be crying unless it's tears of happiness. Especially on a day like this," I told her as I wiped her tears away.

"Now let's go out there and get you married while I cry my eyes out." I chuckled as she laughed.

"I love you daddy," she said and pulled me into a hug.

"I love you to baby girl," I told her as I kissed the top of her head.

"Can you give me a minute?" She said and I nodded and walked out the door but stayed close enough to where I can hear her. I wanted to make sure she wasn't gonna do anything bad.

Lindsay had suffered through depression for two years after Daniel had passed away. And she was only five. Her mind didn't understand. For two months, she would sit on the couch waiting for Daniel to come home. She still had hope he would come home one day and nothing broke my heart more then seeing her go upstairs with her head down low each day he wouldn't walk through the door.

"I love you dad. I'm so sorry you couldn't be here with us but like daddy said, you're here through our hearts. We miss you like crazy each day. I love you dad." I heard her say then come out.

"Ready?" I asked her.

"Ready," she confirmed with a smile.

I linked arms with her and waited behind the closed doors that would lead down the isle and to the alter.

"I'm here," I heard Jonah say as he linked his arm with Lindsay's other arm.

Jonah was also gonna give her away. He had been there for her every since Daniel had left. Jonah was basically Lindsay's second dad. Of course no one would replace Daniel but Jonah came close. Jonah helped me raise her. Lindsay and him became close when he started to babysit her while I was at work. Lindsay took a liking to him because he was like Daniel. And I'm guessing Lindsay still wanted someone to remind her of Daniel and Jonah was the second thing closest to him.
