I was really sore from being shot and attacked during the battle. So many bruises!
I still had to sleep in the Hospitle tent for a few more weeks...
I was sound asleep.
"Tommy."
I heard a voice! Newt???
"Tommy."
I opened my eyes. It was Newt! He was standing at the foot of the bed! He looked healthy and everything.
"Newt?" I said as i lifted my head
"Hey, there green bean!" I hear from beside me.
Newt was no longer standing at the foot of my bed.
"How are you feeling?"
"Minho." I said as I layed my head back on the pillow.
"Sore as shit!" I said
"I dont blame you!"
I let out a moan in pain as I sat up.
"Take it easy." Minho said
"How long was i out before?"
"About a month." He said
"A month?!" I said
"You were talking in your sleep."
"What was I saying?" I asked
"Newt, Teresa, Chuck." He said
I felt my eyes tearing up as I heard him say those names.
"Thomas! I know how hard this is on you!" He said as he was rubbing his hand across my back to comfort me.
"I wanted to give this to him!" I heard a female voice on the outside of the tent.
She turned the corner.
It was Brenda and George!
"Hey, how are you feeling?" She asked
"Same old."
"I thought I would bring you some of these." She said as she handed me a plate full of fruit and cookies.
"Thank you!" I said as I slowly moved my lips torwards hers.
"Well, give you kids some privacy." George said as Minho followed.
"I really appreciate you doing this for me!" I said
"Dont mention it!" She said
I slowly moved my hand towards hers. She saw i wanted to hold her hand so she held mine.
"I was really worried about you when you were out." She said.
I smiled as I looked into her eyes.
"Try some strawberries." She said as she picked up a strawberry.
I took a bite and the sweet taste was unbelievable!
"Its good, huah?" She said
"Mmhmm." I said as i ate another strawberry.
