"I don't care." Tony growls, pure rage and unrelenting anger radiating off him. "He killed my mom"

He follows that up with a blast to Steve's stomach, sending the unexpectant Captain to his knees, and Tony doesn't give him enough time to register before he kicks Steve in the chin and sends him on his back. Steve groans and clutches his stomach, trying to stop the aching all over his body.

Tony turns to Bucky with a murderous glare, who's holding his gun up in defense, eyes glistening with tears, body trembling slightly, like he's scared or panicked, but Tony doesn't care. No, he wants to kill Barnes. Rip his heart out with his own hands, kill the man who killed his parents.

As far as he's concerned, it was all Bucky's fault.

"Tony, please stop this." Bucky pleads, backing away as Tony advances forward. "It wasn't me. I swear I wouldn't intentionally hurt your family. Ever-"

"I. Don't. Care." Tony snaps, flying forward to land just in front of Bucky, quickly grabbing the gun and using it to slam into Bucky's chin in a fierce uppercut. Bucky's head whips up and he staggers backwards, a large gash on his chin beginning to bleed now. Tony quickly grabs him by the collar as he throws Bucky with all his might across the room as if the soldier was nothing but a rag doll.

Bucky's body limply flies across the room and hits one of the walls, his body falling a few feet before painfully slamming to the ground, on his stomach. He groans and slowly brings himself to his hands and knees, choking on blood as he coughs up globs of the dark crimson liquid.

Tony starts menacingly walking up to Bucky when Steve suddenly runs to Tony and grabs his neck, pulling him over and behind Steve, his body falling on the ground behind Steve with a metal thud. He aims his blasters at Steve and shoots him across the room, where the Captain slams into a wall and falls, same as Bucky just with a different wall.

Tony picks himself up and notices Bucky sprinting to the exit. He growls and blasts Bucky, who flips in the air and lands on his back with a pained thump. Tony flies over to him and grabs him by the collar, pulling him up and quickly positioning him into a headlock, one where Bucky (dazed and disoriented) wheezes and tries to pull Tony off him.

"Do you even remember them?" Tony whispers, his voice sharp with an edge to it.

Bucky takes too long to answer so Tony tightens his grip, emitting a choked wheeze from Bucky who responds, gravelly: "I remember all of them."

Tony flips Bucky over him and let's the man fall onto his stomach behind him, cheek bruised, chin swelling and bleeding, a gash on his hairline beginning to split open and ooze out blood and red marks around his neck.

Tony kneels beside Bucky and is about to grab him when Steve barrels into his side, sending them both crashing through the exit and rolling into an open yet sheltered area. Steve tries to punch Tony and get the upper hand but Tony is way too pumped up on rage to let that happen.

He kicks Steve off him and kicks him in the sides and once on the face until Steve is reduced to a coughing and almost still mess. For good measure, Tony points his blaster at part of the ceiling and blasts a huge chunk of the ceiling down, thick boulders piling on Steve's back, effectively pinning him down.

"Tony... please don't do this..." Steve wheezes, twitching his hand in front of him, trying with no luck to free himself. "He... he's my friend..."

"So was I." Tony quips back, voice laced with pain and anger.

Tony can suddenly sense Bucky behind him so he swings his fist around in a brutal punch, catching Bucky on the cheek who's gun flies out of his grasp as his head snaps to the side. His body stumbles and almost loses balance as Tony kicks Bucky in the stomach repeatedly, until Bucky is on his stomach on the floor, groaning and coughing in a pile of blood, sweat and tears.

"Tony," he wheezes desperately. "Please don't... hurt.... Steve."

Odd choice of words coming from a man who is in the middle of being beaten to death, Tony thinks, who just ignores Bucky's pleas, sending one last kick to Bucky's shoulder. He quickly follows that up by kneeling down in front of Bucky and grabbing the man's long, tangled and unkempt, damp-with-blood-hair, pulling Bucky's hair so he has to strain his neck to look up at Tony.

"You killed my parents." Tony growls, nothing but rage in his eyes. "Prepare to die."

He grabs Bucky by the throat and stands up while pulling Bucky's limp body up, who is spasming and gasping for air, eyes wide and full of fear, yet also resignation.

Tony watches as Bucky tries to claw his hands away, eyes filling with tears. Tony slaps Bucky's arm away but in the process he rips the sleeve off Bucky's forearm, showing the skin there. Something seems off so Tony returns his attention to it to see red lines. His eyes widen when he realizes they aren't from battle.

Those are self-inflicted marks.

Tony turns to Bucky, who's eyes are flickering in acknowledgment that Tony now knows his secret. His body deflates slightly just as Tony's grip loosens slightly.

"Just... kill... me...." Bucky wheezes, squeezing his eyes shut to rid them of tears. "I'd rather d... die by your... hands th-than mine...."

Those words cause Tony to drop Bucky, who falls in a heap on the ground, coughing, wheezing and sobbing, face wet. Tony's eyes are wide and he's staring at Bucky, more specifically his arm. So many lines, too many to count crisscrossing on the skin. And by the looks of it, there's some on the back of his arm and it goes even higher up.

Tony's hands tremble as he defensively raises a hand to Bucky, blasters ready to blast if he needs to. "D-don't think that doesn't change anything. I-I'll kill you."

"Pl-please do..." Bucky rasps out, vision trained on the ground, body battered and beaten down.

"Why do you want me to kill you?" Tony questions slowly, growing less angry and more concerned.

"I th-think if I should die b-by anyone... besides m-myself it should be from s-someone who... has a reasonable claim." Finally he meets Tony's gaze, eyes glistening with pained and guilted tears. "I don't want to keep hurting my friends. I'm done. I... I'm nothing but... a weapon... p-please Tony, j-just kill me..."

Tony is shocked to say the least. He had no idea Barnes felt this way. He can see how awful it would feel to know that you killed dozens of people you didn't want to. It must be traumatizing.

And Tony can relate. So, instead of killing Bucky, he extends his hand to help the man up and says, very gently,

"I won't kill you and you're not just a weapon."
