the next day, donghan was finally going back to school. he had asked me yesterday night if we could walk to school together, i said no. but he insisted and kept on whining, stopping me frm going home until i agree to walk to school with him. what's wrong with that guy? he was acting all like a kid. to think i actually was scared of him in the past.

anyways, i had walked out of my house gates today to see donghan standing outside, leaning against the door. he smiled at me when he saw me and got up.

"good morning eunbin," he chirped and i smile back weakly. my energy level was at all time low, it was friday morning and i absolutely couldn't wait for this long ass day to be over.

"why the dull face?" he aks as we walked side my side.

i looked up at him and frown as a response before looking down at the ground again. my mind was in a blur and i was probably still half-asleep.

all of a sudden, i felt warmth against my palms as donghan interlocked his fingers with mine.

i gasped as i looked down at our hands which were held together. i was completely aroused now, my heart began thumping against my chest at his action.

all feelings of tiredness drained away from me as my attention was fixated on donghan and his hand, which was secured around mine.

i wanted to open my mouth and ask him what on earth he was doing, but i couldn't even make a word out of my mouth.

i wanted to pull my hand away from him and scold him for what he did, but i didn't want to..

i wanted to keep holding his hand.

screw him.

i shifted my gaze away from our hands and looked away awkwardly.

from the corner of my eyes, i could see a cheeky smile plastered onto donghan's lips which only made my heart thump even faster.

with our hands interlocked, that was how we made our way to school. my whole body was tensed up throughout the journey to school and my hands was tingling cosntantly. i had managed to steal a few glances at donghan and he seemed to be at ease, unlike me.

we didn't speak a word to each other as we walked.

as we got closer to the school grounds, we started to see other students who were also making their way to school. i was aware that me and donghan were holding hands.. which i certainly did not want anyone that recognised us to see.

hence, i pulled my hands out of his grasp and he released his hand instantly.

i looked away from donghan and brought both my hands in front of me, holding them together.

we continued walking in silece after that as i was still trying to recover my crazy heart after what happened.

"are you more awake now?" donghan finally says, breaking the long silence.

startled, i looked up at him. a small smile was tugging at his lips.

did he hold my hands just to wake me up from my half-asleep state?

my mind was in a whirl, i wasn't sure what i should do. should i say something? what should i say? or should i just stay quiet?

i didn't know why but i ended up lifting my arms and punching him on his shoulder lightly, causing him to chuckle.

the awkwardness in the air then started to fade away as we started acting more normally to each other. i tried to shove the fact that we held each others' hands out of my head as we started having a conversation as if nothing happened.

i felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and i fished it out to see who had texted me.

it was none other than soyeon. really, no one else actually texts me.

i turned back and i saw soyeon walking about 10 metres behind me.

"i'll go to class first, see you later," donghan whispered to me, causing me to jump as i spun back to face him.

"yah! why must you whisper like that? you scared me," i pouted at him while he just shurgged his shoulders playfully before walking off. 

i then turned back and soyeon was walking towards me, smirking and wriggling her eyebrows.

oh gosh, i was sure she was going to interogate me about donghan again.
