It was a Saturday morning. Unlike most Saturday mornings, it was raining heavily. The raindrops could even be heard by someone in a locked room. Due to how bad the weather is, everyone is taking shelter be it in their homes, shops or even under some staircases that can be found leading to a flat.
However, this is not the case for everyone. Alongside a boulevard, a man is walking, soaking wet. He is average in size and height, wearing a casual t-shirt and jeans. He is walking with head down, slowly. The strong wind, the rapid drops of water and even the combination of the loud sounds of thunder and the flash of lightning couldn't distract him from wandering aimlessly.
"What did I do? What was my fault? Why? Why?" He was mumbling as he was walking down the street. He is the only sane person walking in a weather such as this. As he was walking by, a black Mercedes can be seen driving at top speed. While on the road, it drove past a huge puddle of water which splashed on the young man. He did not seem to care as he continued walking.
He was walking slowly on the slippery boulevard. It still did not stop him from tripping and falling flat down. The man took no effort to wake up. The drivers who drove by him just let him to be. The man was left alone there with the sounds of rain droplets hitting the pavement and thunder.
"WHERE AM I?!" The man suddenly bolted up and screamed. He was awoken from a single bed in a cozy room, well, not too cozy as it was filled with some football, metal bands and weaboo posters. The sun is shining through the window behind the bed. The thunderstorm must have ended. "Relax, boy." A figure opened the door. It was a man with average weight and looked a bit taller than the man who was in bed. "Ale-Alex? Is that you?" The bedridden man asked the figure. The figure nodded. "Hektor, my best friend, glad to see that you are doing well." Alex gave a smile. His face has worry written all over it.
"Should have known this is your room, nerd." Hektor gave a short smile, one he has probably given from a long time. He sat on the bed, his clothes dripping wet, soaking Alex's bed. "That's gotta stink soon." Alex sighed. "Why didn't you dress me up with new clothes?" "Cause that would give both of us another image, wouldn't it?" Alex headed over to Hektor and sat next to him. Even Alex himself couldn't force a smile now. "How long..." Hektor asked. "I found you on the boulevard from the local arcade 4 hours ago. I do not know how long you fainted though." Alex said in a sad tone.
"Why did you save me?! You should have let me die...*cough*" Hektor said with rage before coughing up a lot and sneezed. Alex pat him. "Shh, you should rest..." "Why should I?! It would be better if I am off dead, right?!" Hektor screamed with the little energy he had left and fell back on the bed. He started crying. Alex just sat on the bed, trying his best to try and comfort his best friend.
"Cause, there are many more people who still love you, Hektor." Alex said softly. "I know...but...Alex..." Hektor continued coughing. Alex took a bottle of water from the side of his bed and slowly fed it to Hektor. He then put a wet towel over his forehead. "I am...sorry...Alex." "It's okay..." Alex tried to comfort Hektor further. "Alex...Serra..." "I know." Alex said while hugging Hektor. "How?" "I...saw a photo she posted with another man on social media this morning..." "So, she isn't ashamed to show it..." Hektor laid there with tears still flowing from his eyes.
"I thought she was the one, Alex!" Hektor said with a depressing tone. He cried more. "I know... I know how bad it felt, that is why I tried calling you." Alex stood up and headed over to a desk near the bed. He took a wet cellphone which is thankfully still working. Alex is an IT guy, so he is probably the reason the cellphone is still working. He turned on the phone and key in the password. "Still remember my password?" Hektor said sarcastically. "Of course!" Alex opened up the call logs and showed it to Hektor. Hektor held his cellphone and saw the call log. There were around 30 missed calls from a contact called "Alex Marcus". "Alex..."
"I knew the location of the latest picture Serra took, so I drove there. I can't find you so I just drove and drove and eventually I found someone on the floor. That was when I picked you up." Alex explained himself. "How did you know it was me?" Hektor said, tears all dried up, his voice indicating he is still weak. "No one would be outside walking in a weather like that. Except for someone who wanted to drown tears in rainwater." Alex said as he took out his own cellphone and stared at its empty screen.
Hektor just laid in bed with no more emotion. "Alex...everything is going well." He said...emotionless. Probably too worn out. Alex smiled. "No, Hektor. everything was going well. Don't blame yourself too hard of it...she is just a gold..." "Please don't say that...Don't! Say!..." Rage filled Hektor's words. (Shouldn't have bring that out now...) Alex thought to himself. "Sorry Hektor..." "Me too" Hektor is now back to his emotionless state. "Hektor, everything was going well, and everything did become shit a few hours ago. However, I need you to trust me that everything will be going well again. And that is what's important." Alex smiled while pointing a thumbs up to Hektor. He was just stared at the thumbs up for a few seconds before talking again. "I doubt it, Alex. But I do hope so. The percentage of that working out is only 10%..." "Then that is a chance we must take, Hektor. And I will be here to guide you through it. Trust me."
