The coffee shop

It was fall the best time of the year.... Well Dan likes to think so. He loved fall. Because fall is not to hot and not to cool. And this year had been great for so many reasons. Dan was on his way to Parker's Coffee. Parker's coffee was the local coffee shop. Everyone in town goes there. Dan was walking down the street. He was almost there. Unlike most people who go there to talk he went there to read and drink coffee. He only looked up from his book a few times. It always the same people every time he went. High schoolers people from college stuff like that. Always the same he thought. Dan walked into the coffee shop when he noticed sommething a little different this time. There was a girl there working. One he had never met before. To anyone else this would have seemed normal. But Dan is not anyone else. He is friends with the people that work there. Mainly because he goes there so much. He knew all the workers by name but this shocked him. Why didn't Parker tell me he thought. Parker was the owner of the shop. All though it was a well known name in town Dan had always thought The coffee shop would be a better name for the place. But he had never told anyone that. Dan walked up to order. How may I help today sir said Sarah. Sarah was the new girl she liked everything pink. And had moved here to forget the past. Um Yes hi I'm Dan you might have heard of me. Nope never said Sarah. Oh ok well I'm here to see Parker if he's not busy Dan said. Oh sorry he kinda just left like five minutes ago. But if he will be back tomorrow if you would like to come back then Sarah said back. What he always works the 7:30 shift Dan said back. Not anymore he hired me. To work at this time. Mainly because he wants to spend more time with his family. She said back. Oh ok wow. I will take one iced mocha please. Dan said. Sure coming right up. That will be 2 Dollars and 50 cents she said. Sure here you go Dan said. He then sat at a table close by waiting for his mocha. She walked back to the kitchen to make the mocha. Thinking to herself he reminds me of someone. Someone she had been trying to forget for a long time.... Dan was waiting for his coffee. And it felt like forever. Here you go Sarah said. Dan walked over and grabbed it.  Finally he said to himself. Dan was already starting to dislike the new girl. He walked over to a chair in the back corner. And picked up a book... An hour or two had gone by it was 9:30 almost closing time. Sarah was cleaning up the place. One customer was still there. Does he ever leave she thought. Dan was just getting to the good part when he looked up at the clock. Wow it's getting late he thought. Dan then got up and walked over to Sarah. Hi I help Parker with the clean up sometimes do you need any help before I go. Dan said. Not really. But thanks anyways she said. Ok bye he said. I'm Sarah. You told me your name and I thought I would tell you mine. Ok Sarah that's a good name. Dan's hand was almost on the door when he heard. Can I ask you a question Sarah had said. Sure Dan said back. Do you like this place? She said. I love it I come here all the time to read and drink coffee. But I think the main reason I like it is it's peaceful Dan said. I like peace and pink she said. Is that your favorite color? He asked. Yes it always has been and always will be she said. but why do you ask he said. I don't know. I'm trying to forget things and maybe I have came to the right place. She said. Dan grabbed a chair. Sarah did the same. Wanna talk he said. Ok sure why not she said with a smile. So where are you from Dan said. It's a long way off...... And I don't wanna talk about it. She said. Oh ok sorry. How long have you been working here he said. About one day she said. That's why i haven't seen you here before. I know all the staff but I haven't met you till now he said. After an hour of talking had went by. Sarah was thinking of how late it was. Well i have to finish cleaning she said. Ok bye. It was good talking to you. He said. Thanks you to she said. On his way to the door Sarah said I will be here tomorrow. And Dan said ok maybe I will see you then he said with a smile.
