***PATRICK'S POV***
"Dude, you after our new photographer again?" Jonny said.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, hahah. Hot isn't she?"
"Yeah man. So you never told me about what happened yesterday."
I told Jon all about yesterday, including the skinny dipping part.
"Woah, she actually agreed? Not many girls will say yes to skinny dipping with a guy the just met that day."
"Hahah, I know, she must be special. To be honest, I was a little surprised too. I thought she was really quite and shy, but she just has these moments where she's just loud and funny and fearless. Do you think she's uncomfortable around me?"
"I don't know man. Maybe she's just holding back. You two did just meet."
"Yeah, true. I just wanna find out if she's into me or not. I guess I'll find out Friday."
"Good luck, bro. See ya."
I left Jonny's apartment and went home. I couldn't stop thinking about Kennedy. She was really different around me than with the other guys. I don't know. Maybe she doesn't like me. Whatever. I just want her to open up to me.
I figured I had better not text her again that night and maybe play with her mind a bit to see if that worked.
The next morning I went to practice, only 6 days until the first game in Dallas. And only one day until I saw Kennedy again. Practice went surprisingly well, even though I was a little distracted.
I was really bored that night, so I had Shawzy and Saader come over. We chilled for awhile, and soon enough it was time for them to leave. The next day went by extremely slow, especially with no practice that day. I kind of just stayed at home preparing for that night. I was surprisingly pretty nervous, I guess because I just wanted everything to go as planned. Tis was going to have to perfect.
