Episode 12- Make Up For My Mistakes

After Theodosia's blindside, Philip vowed to keep fighting. At the reward challenge, Jeff revealed it would be Touchy Subjects. The castaways answered questions about each other, some nice, and some, well, not so nice. In the end, it came down to Nina and Abuela, and Abuela was able to win yet another challenge. She took the advantage, which was a vote steal. But she had to not vote to earn it. Back at camp, Usnavi expressed some dissatisfaction over Abuela's continued victories. He attempted to gain a jury vote by telling Peggy how beautiful she looked, but it didn't work. The next morning, after the minority alliance continuously failed to get someone to flip, Philip decided to take action. He looked through the bags of the majority alliance, and found Piragua's hidden immunity idol. However, when he told his father about it, Hamilton got very angry and forced Philip to apologize, foiling his plans. At the immunity challenge, the castaways were instructed to build a house of cards. It came down to Hamilton and Maria. When Hamilton's structure fell, Maria was able to reach the required ten foot line and win her second straight immunity. Back at camp, Usnavi, Nina, and Abuela were sure Hamilton was going home. Abuela was so certain that she planned to not vote. But Hamilton wasn't ready to give up yet. After telling his sister-in-law Peggy to target Abuela, he turned around and targeted her. Maria Reynolds reluctantly agreed, and tried to persuade Piragua to join them. Though Piragua hadn't officially agreed, things looked good for Hamilton. But at tribal council, Hamilton realized he had forgotten to secure one variable: Peggy's vote. When Abuela felt something off, she decided to vote just in case, and Peggy voted for Hamilton, making it a 4-4 tie. Meanwhile, Piragua felt unsafe and played his idol. In the revote, Piragua flipped to help his alliance, saving Peggy and sending Hamilton home. With the minority alliance turned against each other, Maria Reynolds unsure of her place, and a new hidden immunity idol hidden, seven are left. Who will be voted out tonight?

Night 33

The tribe arrives back at camp, and everyone puts their torch down. And Philip runs. "See you all later! I'm going for the idol."

"What the..." says Usnavi.

"He can't just do that!" says Piragua, and runs off to join him.

Maria confessional: "So the moment we get back to camp, everything goes insane. Philip just runs off to go for the idol. And then Piragua goes to join him. I would have too, but there's no point. If I find it, I have to give it away. And I don't even have a close ally to give it to anymore. Piragua turned on me, Philip is crazy, and everyone else probably hates me by now. I may have made the wrong choice tonight. I think I'm on the bottom now. Maybe I can play up how annoying I am so they keep me around until the end."

The camera shifts to Philip in the woods. Philip confessional: "Okay, so I know that was probably a horrible move. But I don't care. I'm on the very bottom. I need this thing more than anyone. If I don't get this idol, it's all but over for me. So I need to use every moment possible to search for it. If I don't, I might as well give up now."

Philip and Piragua search all night, but fail to find the idol.

Day 34

The tribe wakes up once again. Philip and Piragua are both incredibly tired. Nina confessional: "We are entering the home stretch of this game. Today is the final day we have left without both an immunity challenge and a tribal council. It's probably also the last reward challenge. Things are getting intense. I have to hope I can get through."
