"Might wanna work on those lines, explodo boy"

I hum left my mouth as I pedaled my bike towards the school. The wind blew my hair back gently, enough to cause me to close my eyes to not dry them out. It was a bit warm today, like yesterday, so I made sure to take a bit of my time.

As I approached the school, my hand reached for the brake near the handle bar of my bike. The bike slowly but surely slowed in its pace, a delighted smile playing on my lips before I stopped abruptly, putting my bike in a stand.

My hands reached down and adjusted my uniform as I hopped off my bike. I was quick to lock it up, turning out of the bike lot and being slightly stunned by the amount of people in front of U.A.'s gate. Why was the press here?

I turned my head to the side, looking around. Luckily enough, a familiar face approached me. "Morning Todoroki," I said in a delighted manner, sending a short wave his way. He acknowledged my existence slightly before walking straight past.

I sighed, catching up with him and walking alongside him. "Do you know why they are here?" I asked, lifting my arms and resting them behind my head. He glanced at me, as if it was extremely obvious. "Probably because All Might is teaching here now," he said back in his usual voice.

I nodded, he was right...like always. Once we reached the edge of the crowd, mics were slamming into my personal space. I happily waved to the large camera meters from my face, turning away from Todoroki as a lady asked a question.

"How is All Might fairing as a teacher in U.A!?" She asked urgently. I paused, a smile pulling at my lips as I leaned forward.

"Hi Kato!...and uh, he's- aGH-" I made the most disgusting sound of choking mixed with surprise as somebody grabbed the back of my collar, tugging me back slightly. I pulled at the tight fabric as I was dragged through the crowd and through the gate, already noticing it was Todoroki who was towing me. I attempted to move my feet in a way where I could stand up, but they kept fumbling over the moving gravel. Once I felt the back of my collar unbunch, I rubbed the front of my neck in annoyance.

I coughed a bit before speaking. "Warn me if you're gonna hang-line me, buddy," I huffed, putting my hand on his shoulder. He looked down to me in a bit of disappointment. I wavered under his cold stare before he spoke. "You're not supposed to talk with them, dragging you away like that will become exhausting if you don't learn," he scolded. I gaped at his attitude as he walked forward.

This kid could be so rude to me but I still wouldn't leave him alone.

"Okay edge lord, wake up on the wrong side of your bed this morning?" I asked as I jogged up next to him. His eyes found mine in a burst of annoyance, but I could see the curiosity twinkling behind them. We both put on our shoes as he slowly asked what I just said meant. "Edge...lord?" he repeated back to me.

I had learned two things about Todoroki on our train ride home. One, he clearly had some emotional issues, and two, he got zero references to teen culture. You could make any reference to anything and he sat there clueless.

"Just- never mind," I huffed in defeat, following behind him as we walked to our class. It was silent for maybe sixteen seconds before Todoroki asked me a question, surprisingly enough. "Who is Kato?" He questioned, turning his head slightly. There was nothing but curiosity in his tone. I wondered if he was actually asking me questions because I encouraged him that U.A. would be a lot more fun if he at least tried to get to know people when we were both on the train yesterday or if he was actually interested.
