Destiny

"Bitch you think im playing witchu? Getcho ass over here Des NOW!" Dre yelled to me across the kitchen. I knew where this was going. I swear I hated this nigga, but loved him at the same time. What was my problem?

"Who the fuck you calling a bitch? I'm 'bout tired of yo shit Dre!" He squinted his face up as if there was a foul smell in the room. "You fucking crazy? Who you.." He ran over to me and smacked me across my face. The impact was so hard I fell to the floor and whimpered. "Nah, I'm ask you again. Who the fuck you talking to like that?" He asked while pulling me up from the floor by my hair. I could feel the strands of hair popping from my scalp and that made my blood boil. I looked Dre in his eyes and saw nothing but emptiness. "I'm talking to you!" I yelled at him and then spit in his face. "Fuck you Dre!"

You could say I made the wrong move because he flashed out and pounched my ass six or seven times. My body was in so much pain. I know I didn't deserve this and I needed to get away from him as soon as possible. I picked myself up off the floor and caught flight to the bathroom. Dre ran after me but I hurried up and locked the door behind me. I stood on the toilet and opened the window that was above it. I checked my pocket to make sure my phone was there before jumping up to rest myself in the window. I looked back and heard Dre yelling for me to open the door. "Suck my dick!" was my last words to him before jumping down to the grass and hopping the back fence. I couldn't risk it going around the front.

I walked Carondelet until I made it to Canal. I was tired as fuck, that was a nice ass walk. I decided to just stand in front of Walgreen's and call Tracy, my best friend. She picked up on the third ring. "Hello" she called in the phone, I could tell she was still half sleep. "Cee this Des. I need you to come get me from Walgreen's on Canal." "What the fuck you doing over there? It's four in the damn morning Destiny!" I sighed and took a deep breath. "Me and Dre got into it and I snuck out the bathroom window and walked all the way down here." "I'm on my way bruh. Bye." I know Cee was probably upset but I really wasn't in the mood for the I told you so's and I should've been left him speeches. I just wanted to get off this strip and go to sleep.

Tracy

I pulled up in front of Destiny about fifteen minutes later. My poor best friend looked a hot mess. Her long hair was in a fucked up ponytail. She wore some sweat pants and white beater. As she got in the car I could see the side of her face was swollen and her lip was bust. I already hated Dre, but this made the feeling worst.

"Destiny, look at your face!" I was livid. "You know you not going back this time right? All that I love him shit. I'm not hearing it this time." I know she was probably cursing me out in her head, but I was dead serious. She wasn't going back and I was gone make sure of that.

Destiny just looked at me and then back out the window. "You could save all that shit Cee. I already decided on what Ima do." She stated with a slight attitude. I expected her attitude. Destiny was always the one that hated for people to tell her what to do when she already made her mind up. She was as stubborn as the come. We rode in silence for the rest of the ride to my house. Once we got through the door I called K.K. I needed him to keep an eye on Dre for me because I knew it wouldn't be long before he came looking for Destiny. After hanging up with him, I went to find Des some clothes to wear. Her ass was in my fridge as always. Niggas always trying to eat up all your food.

After finding her Jordan shorts and giving her a Tshirt she hopped in the shower. Meanwhile, I was in the kitchen fixing cereal. I plopped down on my sofa and turned the TV. As I was getting into Law & Order, Destiny ass comes running in my living room and jumps next to me. "Hey midget, what you doing?" She asked with a stupid ass grin on her face while taking some of my cereal. I admired her spirit. she always found a reason to smile and be goofy. "If you don't get yo white ass out my bowl! Go getcho own, hmmp." I said while holding my bowl to my chest and turning away from her. She laughed and walked to the kitchen. "You aint have to tell me twice. And I know you called K.K. so what he said?" I almost choked on my food. She knew me all to well. "He said he got me and to make sure that yo ass don't try to back track." I turned around to see her facial expression. Shockingly, she didn't have one. She just shrugged her shoulders and said, "Y'all ain't got to worry about that."
