Chapter 1 ~ Wake Up Call

Damian

I awoke from my deep slumber, me sitting up in my bed, me rubbing my eyes, then opening them to be met with the face of my brother, Jon. I instinctively grab my pillow, me hitting in the face with it, me smiling evily and chuckling, "That's what you get, stupid," I say as he falls back, him chuckling and looking down at me, "When were you going to wake up anyway if I didn't wake you up?" He questions, I respond with, "I dunno, probably a few hours from the current time," I say scratching the back of my head, me looking over at the clock, it being 9AM.

"You're a little stupid aren't you? I'm not letting you miss breakfast." Jon says shaking his head, me scoffing, "Sure I am, you're the real stupid one, you barely passed school!" I say pointing at him and chuckling devilishly. "You just like to bully me is all, Damian," He says throwing another pillow at me as I fall backwards from the impact, "But I'll stand up to you one day," He says flipping me off, then leaving the room. "Love you too!" I say as he laughs. "Dumb ass..." I say as I get up and search through my drawers for clothes, me being fine with a baggy black t-shirt that says 'Oh look, another depressed kid with a black shirt on', and black shorts. Me heading to my shower.

I open the door, exiting from the bathroom with my black attire, me still trying to fix my hair. Jon walks up stairs and into his room, him waving at me before he enters his room. He must've came up from breakfast. Hopefully mom made bacon & eggs, I'll be so happy if she did. I walk downstairs, me being greeted by my mom. "Good morning sweety, the bacon and eggs are ready," my mom says walking over to me and pecking my cheek lightly, me hugging her, then walking over to the kitchen counter to get a few bacon and eggs, including some orange juice. Today so far has been good, I might even play some games with Jon after breakfast or lunch.

After I ate breakfast, I walked upstairs into Jon's room, him looking over at me as soon as I walked in. "Hey Jon, wanna play games in my room?" I say as I walk over to him and take the book out of his hands, me tossing it to the end of the bed, "Fine, but don't throw my shit," Jon said as I snicker, me sticking my tongue out at him. "Too bad, come on," I'd say as I walk out of his room, and into my room, me turning on my Xbox one. I take out a few of my games, a good selection for Jon, him sitting down next to me, he picks out Halo 4, a good shooter game. I put it in the disc slot, me then getting the game set and such. I start up the campaign since that's the most interesting part of the game. Him trying it in hard mode. We sit there for a few hours, occasionally getting snacks, us having a fun time. We then hear mom call, "Boys, dinner is ready!" Jon and I pause the game walking downstairs, we made at least through half of the campaign, it was fun.

Jon and I sat down at the dinner table, me and him conversating before mom set our food in front of us, "Enjoy french fries and chicken," She says as we bite down into our chicken pieces, and devour our fries, enjoying them. We both finish our food in at least 10 minutes. I put our dishes in the sink, me sighing and turning around, Jon walking upstairs, me catching up to him, "Hey Jon," I say looking down at him, he turns around, "Hm?" I peck his forehead lightly, "Night..." I'd say blushing slightly, him looking up at me, him blushing a light red from what I can see in the darkness. He says, "G-Good night..." he says walking into his room and shutting the door quickly. He's a nervous wreck...

But so am I.
