Cloudjumpers pov
I was looking at another dragon raid on that poor village. The dragons were forced to do these things by their queen, so they had to. Suddenly something caught my eye. A monstrous nightmare was inside a building just bellow the mountain. He was calling me.

"Cloud where are you?" It was strange, he was controlled by the queen but he was calling me. I decided to investigate. I flew to that building. Well more like into it. Surprisingly there was enough room for both of us.

"What do you want?" I asked. I could see in his eyes that he was indeed controlled by the queen.

"Look at that hatching and tell me what's wrong with it. Please." The nightmare/queen pleaded. I looked around and saw the hatching in what seemed to be a small boat (It's a crib). I walked to it and the hatching started..... cooing? (Is that even a word?) I held out one of my claws and he took it and smiled. I used what little magic I could use (certain dragons have certain abilities) to look at his soul. It wasn't a human soul but a dragon one.

"He's the heir." I thought out loud.

"Well take him somewhere safe."

"You're letting him live? He could kill you in the future."

"I may be cruel but I still have a heart. Plus I'm pretty sure you won't let me kill him."

"I'll take him to the king so his powers can be activated."

"Good but put him in the care of one of those dragon friendly villages."

"Good idea. I know just the tribe for the job." I finished the conversation while rocking the hatching. The nightmare flew of but seconds later I decided to go back. But before I could do anything a metal claw hit the wall above me.

Stoicks pov

I throw my axe without thinking at that owl looking beast. I saw him next to Hiccup so I thought he wanted to kill him. But as he backed away, the crib started to move. At that moment I realize he didn't want to harm my boy. But I got lost in my thought that I didn't noticed the dragon took Hiccup and started to flew away.

"HICCUP!!!!!!"" I heard Valka scream and when I looked at the sky I saw the beast with my kid fly away. Never to see him again.

Two days later.
???? Pov
I was walking down the village with my guards by my side. My village was prospering with dragons by our side. Yes we made peace with the dragons. They helped us survive. We own them so here is a safe haven for them. Some of us even speak Dragonese. I'm one of them so I am the main speaker for the dragons and the humans.

As I'm walking down the road to the main plaza I see a brown dot on the horizon getting bigger. Soon you could safely say it's a dragon. As I came to the plaza, Cloudjumper lands in front of me with a baby? in his claws.

"What do you need Cloud? And why is there a baby in your claws?" I asked.

"This baby was chosen by our king as the new prince of dragons. Yet we don't have the equipment to take care of him so I came to ask if you would raise this child." I was shocked. The king wants me to take care of his "son"?

"I'm honored by the opportunity but what about his powers? Who would train him?"

"Well I'm pretty sure you and I will teach him most of the things he'll need." A new voice said. I looked down and saw a jet black dragon giving me puppy eyes. He was so adorable.

"Awww who are you?"

"That's a Night Fury, prince's guardian." Cloud said. I was shocked again. A Night Fury? Well in that case what could go wrong?

"I accept the task you're giving me Cloud. I'll raise him as my own kid and he'll be the heir of this isle. But does he have a name?"

"Well he did but the king decided to name him Hayden. And I'm glad you have accepted the task. I'll inform the king." With that he flew of back to the sanctuary. I picked the boy up and turned to the village.

"My people. The king of dragons have decided to give is the task of raising Hayden the prince of dragons. I'll raise him as my own and he'll be the heir of the Defenders of the Wing." I told the people.

All hail Hayden." The people cheered and shouted. I looked down to see Haydens emerald green eyes and auburn brown hair. He smiled and cuddled in my arms. I smiled too and said.

"Don't worry Hayden. Mommy Mala is here."
