Scarlett's pov
After leaving the awkward situation with my cousin and his boyfriend, I felt utterly terrible for everything that happened. Conrad shouldn't of brought up Dan's past, especially in front of Phil."I don't understand why you had to bring up the fact Dan used to be addicted to drugs. That's a touchy subject and he hasn't told Phil that much of it." I finally blurred out, Conrad turned toward me, sighing.
"I know. I'm sorry. We should of just left." He apologized, I just sighed, leaning into him. The smell of his cologne was captivating and I was so lucky to have him. We both have our issues but I love the fuck out of him.
"You and Dan used to do drugs together though? Weren't you like 13 before he met Phil?" Conrad asked surprised; I lifted my head from his shoulder.
"Yeah. But this is how our family is. We all have our flaws. Dan's mother was horrified of the outdoors and had slight schizophrenia, his dad is a alcoholic, and our grandparents died from an overdose. Half our family are just all fucked up and Dan got it the worse. Me and Dan had each other and we got through our bullshit then Dan ditched us for Phil. And he left me like I was nothing. I love Dan, he's my blood. But we grew up together and we were each other's support systems and he literally threw me away for Phil. And maybe that was best for him. I'm happy he found his happiness. But how could he toss me out when he's been here for me since I was adopted by his aunt? It fucking hurts, dude." I rambled on, until Conrad brought me into a tight hug. I just cried into his shoulder, as he patted my back.
"He probably never meant to hurt you. You have me now. I'm your support system, okay? And I'm here for you." He said softly, as I pulled away to wipe my eyes.
"He's just changed so much and I feel like he hates me now. Everything just sucks." I muttered; he nodded his head, entwining his fingers with mine.
"You're okay."

Dan's pov
————————————————"Phil, I need to tell you something." I finally spoke up, feeling so horrible that we basically kicked Scarlett out. She's my cousin and I felt like shit for doing that to her.
"Me and Scarlett used to be really close and we did drugs together when she was 13 and that's the reason she's like this now and I fucked her life up. It's all my fault, Phil." I said quickly, putting my face in my hands.
"What kinds of drugs?" Phil asked me seriously, I just shook my head at him.
"Xanax, weed, dabs, just soft shit. But she was fucking thirteen. And now she's doing what I did in high school and I can't handle it." I cried more, as Phil wrapped his arms around me.
"She was going to do shit eventually. Even without you, Dan. You can't blame yourself." He sighed; I just shook my head again, curling my legs to my chest.
"She's acting exactly how I did and we kicked her out. What the fuck is wrong with us?" I spoke up, Phil just cuddled me closer to him trying to calm me down.
"Stop blaming yourself. Just calm down, okay? Let's put on a cartoon or something." Phil insisted; I just nodded my head, letting him take care of me.
"I mean, Scarlett is gone.. we could-" I started, before Phil rolled his eyes.
"I'm not fucking you." He interrupted; I smacked his shoulder playfully, crossing my arms in defense.
