This is the first story that I wrote :) . Enjoy reading :)
My name is Jaffryck Tokoroya. I lived before in Alaska, Mambaling, Cebu City. I was a fourth year college student of Cebu Institute of Technology-University, which was located very near to our house. My mother and I were the only persons in our house because my father died when I was still in grade six.
My story begins on one beautiful Monday morning. I just had woke up from a very wonderful dream when my mother entered my room.
She said “Wake up Jaffryck. You’re dreaming again. You’ll be late in school.”
“Sorry mom,” I replied “I just had a dream with my crush in school.”
After eating my breakfast, I went to my best friend’s house for we would go to school together. Joshua Makaryo has always been my best friend since our elementary days, and we always go to school together every morning since our first year in college. It was our first day in school being fourth year college students. Finally, I arrived in front of my best friend’s house.
“Joshua Makaryo, my handsome best friend!” I shouted. Let’s go to school, we are already late!”
Joshua replied, “Just wait there Jaffryck. I’ll be there in a minute.”
My best friend and I started walking towards our school. I told him about my dream last night. I told him that I will finally meet the girl of my dreams this school year. Joshua laughed at me after hearing about my dream. He mentioned about Janra, who was our class president, when we were still in third year high school. I also got busted by a girl named Jeanflorida when I was a first year college student. But I also laughed at him because he had never experienced having a girlfriend since high school. We laughed at each other and proceeded walking towards our school. We were both studying Bachelor of Science in Engineering. When we had arrived, we looked for our classroom. We looked at the list of students posted in every classroom. Afterwards, we found our names. Our classroom was in the second floor of the Engineering department building. When we entered the classroom, our classmates were very noisy talking about their experiences during summer vacation. I also met my classmates during the previous year. I looked at the list of our names outside on the wall of our classroom. Suddenly, a girl passed by the corridor. I was staring at her for ten seconds as if I saw an angel from the heavens above. Then, the girl stopped in front of me.
The girl asked me in a sweet voice, “Do you know where the classroom for the engineering student is? I’m sorry. I’m a new student here.”
“Hi miss beautiful,” I said. “I mean, ‘miss.’ This is the classroom you’re looking for.”
I asked the girl for her name for her name. She told me that her name was Cherylmiah Gandi. She was from Davao City, and then she transferred in Cebu to study at CIT-U. We shook each other’s hands, and I let her enter our classroom. I was stunned by her beauty and my heart beat faster because her unique smile touched my heart deeply. The bell rang, and it was our vacant period. Joshua invited me for snacks. He told me that his stomach was aching when he had seen our beautiful new female classmate. I told my best friend that I like Cherylmiah. But I noticed that he also liked her. We both walked to the canteen and bought some snacks.
