Chapter seventeen

The sunrays started to fondle Tony's face. He slowly opened his eyes, meeting Steve's bare chest.

"Morning", Steve said tenderly.

Tony raised his eyes to meet the blondies warm, smiling face. He smiled back.

"Good morning", Tony buried his face to Steve's chest.

Steve gave a small chuckle and started stroking Tony's hair. They just lay there. Not saying a word. It was warm, nice, and everything was good. Everything was as it should be. Steve gave Tony a peck on the forehead.

Suddenly Tony started speaking: "You know Steve.. You really are the best thing that has happened to me. Everything I said yesterday was true, not just a way to get into your pants."

Steve looked Tony wide eyed for a moment, but then broke into a smile: "I know Tony.. And I meant it too. I really do love you."

"I love you too", Tony responded.

They continued cuddling just a little more.

Meanwhile somewhere else a jog had asked the help of a top of the class student.

"Thank you son of Banner, this certainly is helpful and needed", Thor exclaimed.

"Uh, yeah, it's no big deal really", Bruce said.

He had went to help Thor in a school project.

"Say, where have you gotten your brains from?" Thor laughed, which made Bruce blush just a tiny bit.

He wasn't really used to compliments. Well, from someone who isn't Tony.

"Stupid brother, he didn't exactly get his brain from somewhere. Are you not familiar with even the simplest biology of a human?" a slender, dark-haired boy mocked.

Bruce had never seen him before. The boy gave Bruce a smile, though it wasn't exactly the kindest one.

"Oh shush it. If you knew how marvelous this Banner boy really is, you'd finally stop talking", Thor tried to shush the dark-haired one away.

"Hm, I doubt that", the boy chuckled, and in a blink of an eye the boy was beside Bruce: "Hello. We haven't met each other yet. I'm Loki, that idiot's brother."

"Oh, uh, hi. I'm Bruce. Thor's friend", Bruce stuttered.

"Oh yes, I very well know that. You're Tony Stark's friend and that way ended up with the misery that is my brother", Loki smiled.

"Brother, stop it", Thor started to get annoyed.

"Uh, Thor's not a misery. He's nice to be around", Bruce admitted.

That comment made Loki raise his brows, and Thor have the biggest smile he could.

"See, brother. I am likeable. This Banner's boy likes me and not you", Thor boasted.

"Hmph, I can make that easily change. Say, Bruce, would you go eat with me?" Loki gave a slight smirk.

"What? Eat with you? But I have to help Thor and-" Bruce started mumbling.

"Oh just ditch him. Or if you really do want to help him, come eat with me afterwards", Loki proposed.

Then the younger brother left. Bruce was speechless and Thor almost bubbling with anger.

Tony's phone rang. It was Bruce, and Bruce never called Tony. It was always the other way around.

"Brucie, what's up?" Tony asked surprised.

"Tony you got to help me. I have no idea what to do!" Bruce whisper-yelled.

"Help you? Has something happened?" Tony started to worry a little.

"I'm getting lunch with Thor and his brother-" Bruce was cut off.

"Thor has a brother?" Tony inquired, looking at Steve.

Steve nodded and Bruce confirmed it too: "Yeah, but this is so weird. I just met Loki and he asked me to eat with him right away. But Thor was weird too, he wasn't okay with us going alone. They do not get along with each other, like, at all."

"Okay so you've just ended up in a crossfire?" Tony suggested.

"No, it's more than that. It's like they're competing over me! Tony this is nuts!" Bruce explained.

Tony didn't answer right away, instead he mouthed to Steve 'is Thor gay?' to which Steve just shrugged his shoulders.

"I mean, maybe they're really competitive brothers? Just try to bear it. And if not, leave. Or call again and we'll come there with Steve", Tony advised.

"Okay.. It's just so weird. But yeah, I'll call if I need you guys", Bruce agreed, ending the phone call.

Tony crawled back next to Steve. Steve was not looking happy.

"I do not want to go there", Steve announced.

"Ah, Steve, he's my bestfriend. I can't let him down", Tony gave the puppy-eyes.

Steve bit his lips, Tony was too cute to resist.

"But I wanted to be with you. Cuddle with you n stuff", Steve pouted.

"Oh honey, we can do that other times too. I won't leave you right away", Tony cupped his boyfriends face in his hands.

"But.. You'll leave me someday?" Steve worried.

Tony chuckled: "No, honey I'll never leave you."

He gave Steve's nose a kiss, after which they started getting ready, just in case.

"So, really, what does such a brilliant person do with someone like my brother?" Loki questioned.

"Well, our friends are dating and our gangs just kinda got combined?" Bruce answered.

"So you don't really enjoy my brother's company? You're with him because of your friends?" Loki hinted.

"What? No, that's not what I meant. That's how we met, but I like to hang out with Thor for himself too", Bruce corrected.

"Yes. We enjoy each other's company very much. Now will you stop and leave, brother?" Thor glared at Loki.

Loki shook his head and looked away.

"Bruce, we can go continue our teaching study-date?" Thor asked.

"No, he agreed to eat with me", Loki stopped them.

The brothers started arguing, first over Bruce, and then over everything.

Bruce felt uneasy. Really uneasy.

"Uh, I think I should go", he finally said.

Both brothers stopped to look at the third one.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry for my behaviour. Please stay for a little more", Loki apologized.

"Don't go Bruce. Yes, I'm sorry too", Thor admitted.

Bruce really wasn't sure if it was wise for him to stay. Plus he did actually have some stuff to do as well. Nonetheless he stayed.
