~Madeline's POV~
Eventually, I got over my self. After she came over to my house the next day with tons of chocolates, snacks and all that good stuff of course.
Since it was just a crush, I didn't really care if he liked me back or not and besides if none of that happened we'd probably be ripping each other apart, we used to hate each other.. well i used to hate him till he showed me he did have a heart, Blue and I were in a fight, and she'd said some stuff about my father because I don't really get to see my father much, i'm often told he doesn't love me, never has and never will, she also said I was fat and back then I was really conscious about my weight and for your best friend to say something to you knowing it will hurt you, it really hurts, back in intermediate I was really sensitive I didn't know how to hid my feelings I was never told I had to hide them or hold them back, I was told that it was okay, but now I know that there are times where I have to hide my feelings especially those that are my weaknesses because being hurt by one person is better than being controlled by everyone else. If some one knows you weakness then they'll hold it over you like a shadow.

As I just sat there, staring into space I looked at the time and it read 6:45pm, I called Blue to see what she was up to because I couldn’t be bothered doing my homework. We decided to go to Carls Jr to do a proper catch up seeing as Monday’s catch up didn’t really work out. Neither of us could drive so we planned on walking there, it wasn’t really cold it was actually warm. So, I told Blue that I was going to meet her in 15 minutes.
I walked over to Blue’s house since it was just up the street. Blues house wasn’t really huge, it was a decent size for a family of 5 it was white with a reddish orangish looking roof, it’d been newly built so it was only a year or so old. I walked up the stairs and knocked on their brown framed door with cloudy glass. Blue opened it wearing a long black and white vertically striped dress that would bring out her body shape, she had her ß w with blonde highlights tied up into a messy bun, brown eyes and her height was average but I was still taller. Blue was a beautiful light skinned girl she had eyeliner and mascara on complementing her eyes making them seem brighter and light pink lip gloss but not that neon pink the tutti fruity kinda pink. One thing people would always seem to mix up was thinking that Blue was innocent, boy were they in for a treat. After loads of persuading that she didn’t have to change and that what she had on was perfectly fine, we finally started talking.
“Soo how’s your life going?” Blue asked tryna strike a conversation between us but something told me she couldn’t wait to tell me something
“It’s meh, not that bad. How’s yours? Anything new?” I asked tryna figure her out she looked like she was going to burst.
“Well, Imetthisboyandheseemsreallynice” she said all in one breathe the one breath that the only word I heard was “boy” “Whoa whoa, slow down girly, I can’t hear a single word you’ve said!!” I said with a slightly confused look on my face,while we were about to place an order
She stared at e carefully as if she was studying me then said whilst fidgeting with her fingers “I umm, met this, well boy, and I said he seemed nice, and I really like him”
“OOOH MY LIFE BLUE!!! What’s his name? How old is he? Is he hot? Do I know him? Where is he from??!” I bombarded her with all these questions… What? I couldn’t help it okay? I was excited for her I can help her get ready for dates, do her hair?! I had soo many ideas already she could have her hair in lose curls with a stunning black dress o my god she would look beautiful!! Before I could think of anything else, I realized she was talking to me…
“Maddy!? Are you even listening to me?” she said slightly annoyed at me
“Of course I was, Blue what do you take me for psssht...” I tried to lie… TRIED to but of course she knew I wasn’t
“No you weren’t, you had that look on your face, anyways what I said was that, he asked me out” I opened mouth to say something but she said “ah ah ah, before you say anything there’s a catch!” I closed my mouth looking at her suspiciously “He’s going to bring a friend and he wants me to bring you” she said biting her lip nervously asking me to come with her.
“Why would he want you to bring me?” I asked her looking utterly confused
“Well, his friend may kinda sorta like you” she replied with a hopeful look that I’ll say yes
“Does this “friend” have a name? Is he cute?” I was already going to say yes but I just wanted her to beg and see what she was going to offer me
“His name is Mason, Mason… Hayes I think it was and yees he is soo cute and totally your type!” she said with a huge grin on her face
“How old is he?” I asked what she said I did NOT expect
“He’s… He’s 17” If had been drinking something I would’ve spat it right out! Instead my mouth just hung wide open like I was a statue, I dont know why I reacted like this.
“He sounds cute... What’s in it for me?
“Well, I’ll buy you food every day for 1 week!”
“Make it 2 weeks and its deal” I said sternly and took some of her fries
She thought about it for second and said “DEAL” I shook her hand and said “A pleasure doing business with you.” I just had to okay, she just stared at me like “wtf”
“When’s the date?” I asked
“On Friday night" she simply stated
"Where we going?"
"Apparently it's meant to be a surprise" she said with a hint of uncertainty in her voice
"We should probably start walking home?" I said after we finished eating our food
We started walking home then said our good-byes and when I got home, the first thing i did was go on the laptop, I went on a site called Ask.fm and saw that I got a question it said:
"You looked beautiful tonight :]."
I couldn't see who it was because it was on anonymous, I thought it was Blue and didnt think anything of it so I just answered it saying,
"Thanks Blue so did you xoxo "
And with that I went to bed.
