-Forth Age: 2091-
The Knights of Valor were gearing up for a massive raid on the greatest evil of the world, the A-uons. The A-uons had control over the four elements of fire, earth, wind and water. It was up to the Knights to stop them. It had been a war that spanned since the First Age till now, the Forth Age. Over the years, Twilight Mas was trained with the others of his fellow Knights to fight and kill those demons. But now they had intel that the last of the A-uons where gathered in a cave system near the capital city of Eden.
It was because of the A-uons that his parents were killed at his birth. It was the current Lord of Valor, Sarmos, who saved him and made him the fighter he is today. By this date, he had killed over two hundred of the demons with no mercy. Today, he hoped to wet his blade once more to save all of Humanity.
"So, after this night, you will become The Right Hand, right?" Twilights' biggest 'rival' spat. Morgan shook his head. "You are lucky that Lord Sarmos loves you so much or I would be The Right Hand."
It was true. Morgan was of age and was higher ranking then Twilight. It was only because of Sarmos's feelings for him that Twilight was going to skip just about all the ranks to become the second most powerful Knight.
"It isn't my fault Morgan," Twilight said as he tightened his shin guards. "If he has his eyes on someone, then it is his choice. All I did was obey him." He stood up and grabbed his cuirass. "If you have an issue with our Lord's choice in his Hands, then take it up with him."
"Why should I waste our Lords time? You are here, and I think you need to see the truth of the matter. I think you should just..." He readied an attack.
"Just what, Morgan?" The stern but calming voice of the Lord of Valor filled the room. All eyes looked at him and everyone was on their feet, no matter what they were doing. "Just let you beat him again? Weaken him to the point where he can't fight and risk losing his life?" His face showed years of fighting for his rank. Yet it was kind enough to make you feel at peace. "And you think others would follow you after that?"
Morgan stammered to say something but failed to as he felt the writhing eyes of Sarmos gaze upon him. He lowered his head in shame.
"We are all in this together." Sarmos looked around. "Any of you could have proven yourselves to me to be The Right Hand. It was through Twilights efforts that paved his way to that rank. It was through your failures that stopped the rest of you from doing so." He was looking at Morgan when he said that. "Now get ready." He watched them resume their tasks as he stepped up Twilight. "Glad you didn't push it too far." He chuckled. "He is just itching to get another chance to fight you."
"Thank you my Lord, on both accounts." Twilight bowed.
"I told you before Twilight." He placed his hand on his shoulder and smiled. "You alone can call me Sarmos." His face was always calm and soft looking for what he really was and had to do. "But I need to know that you are truly ready for this. You are still just a child by all means."
"No, I am ready for this. This will be my gift to you."
Sarmos tilted his head. "But it is your birthday today. I need no gift and I failed to get you one."
"I need no gift Sarmos." Twilight said. "Your gratitude for me and what I may receive after tonight is more that enough."
Sarmos grinned "The Right Hand."
Twilight nodded with a grin. "I hope that I have truly earned it my Lord."
"You have and after tonight, we all will live in a new world."
After all were ready, the Knights began their march through the city was long and the people looked at the Knights with slight fear. Twilight wondered why, they knew what good the Knights were about to do. Why be scared? 'We will save all of you, no matter what.' He thought. 'One day, you all will see the good we have done for you.'
