Chapter 2. Family

I decided after not talking to anyone for a good hour or so that my anger had been noted so I decided to take a shower so I gathered my things and began to make my way down to the massive bathroom that was more like a spa. I took off my grass stained fitness pants and my black tank top and stared at myself in the full length mirror, my underwear and sports bra still on. I turned and moved my arms and shoulder, watching my reflection follow me as I mused about my muscles which were defined. I was especially focused on my newest acquisition, my abdominal muscles had finally started to show through and as I moved the muscles became more obvious. I finished admiring my muscular body and looked at my face in the mirror, my dark blue eyes staring right back at me. I had a oval face and high defined cheekbones which when i smiled gave me dimples on my slightly chubby cheeks, my lips were full and plump and had a natural dark pink tone to them, I brushed my long hair out of my eyes and sighed at my reflection, apart from these eyes my face is so plain, I thought to myself before undressing and hoping under the hot stream of water that warmed my cold skin.

Wrapping a white towel around my long hair and putting on my robe, i walked downstairs to grab some chocolate from the kitchen but as I walked down the staircase I noticed my whole family seated around the table, dad, mum and Colt,

'Mikaela, can you come here,' my Dad said when he spotted me, I walked over and sat at the long wooden table, on the opposite side to Colt with my mum. Colten and I looked at each other before looking at Dad, 'I have gathered you all here today...' he started the way he always did, '...to discuss the handover of the Alpha position on the Blood Iron pack.' This conversation is incredibly formal Colten said to me via our mental link. 'Colten?' Dad said, 

'Yes father?' Colt replied, I knew what dad was going to say, and it was going to tear Colten up inside.

'I have devised one final test for you to pass before I had over the title, pass it and you become Alpha Colten Seagal of pack Blood Iron.' dad said sternly, I saw a smile play on Coltens lips, he thought he would pass. 'I have invited Brandon Marks of the Blood Paw pack which I worked with in Canada last year to test you,'

'Whats the test then?' Colten asked excitedly,

'A fight,' Coltens smirk disappeared as the words left our dads lips,

'And if I don't pass?' Colten was on the verge of loosing his temper,

I heard dad sigh and compose himself, 'IF, IF you lose, the pack goes to Brandon.'

Colten stood up and started pacing angrily, 'You are willing to risk the great Seagal line! And if the risk doesn't pay off bloody Brando of the Paw pack gets my spot! Is he even of Alpha blood?' he yelled, Dad stood up and towered over Colten, 

'Brando,' he mocked, 'Was in line to become the Blood Paw Alpha but gave it to his twin brother, now if you don't pick up your goddamn slack you will have ruined everything I've worked so hard to build up!' Colten ran out the door discarding clothes as he did, 'You have one month Colten!' Dad yelled after him in his Alpha tone.

'That was a bit harsh Sam,' my mother said quietly and pulled at my dads arm to get him to sit back down which he did eventually,

'He had to know, its not fair to keep it from him,' he said and brushed hair from her blue eyes, 'I know,' she responded and kissed him gently,

'Eww!,' I said and I got a glare from dad, 'Im gonna go find my brother while you two suck face,'

I ran out the door and focused on my wolf and soon my bones and muscles began to morph and change, I didn't bother undressing, I was dressed in my underwear and a robe so I didn't care that much. Soon I had transformed into my wolf and began to track Coltens scent, my feet padding gently against the cool earth. Before long I found him sitting in the middle of a pine Forest in a clearing still in his wolf form, his wolf was large but not much bigger than most and he had a golden coat like his hair, change I asked through our bond,

After a minute I saw his skin begin to move and change and before long he sat next to me, sitting naked with his knees to his chest, when I knew he had transformed I did too. 'I'm not Alpha material, I know,' Colt said sadly and pulled his legs closer, I tried to defend him but I was cut off, 'May, you know it as well as I do,' I nodded at him,

'You can train though, ask dad to spend more time with you, go to the gym, do everything possible!' I begged,

'Im not going to give up, I will try but I know the outcome,' 

'Dad told me his plan,' I got an angry glare from Colt, 'I asked to fight you  for the position, so either way the Seagal line could continue, but...' I said it was half true, half a lie. I wanted to be Alpha because I am of Alpha blood and I can be the Alpha if it wasn't for me being a woman. Colten looked at me with a sad smile before we both stared out at the tree line. Wanna go for a swim? Colt asked, hell yeah! We changed into our wolves and race down the the local swimming hole where we spent a few hours, not arriving home till after dark. We got changed into some clothes mum had left out before walking inside,

'Someone smells of wet dog,' Mum joked as she pulled dinner out of the over and gave us a smile, Colt just scoffed and ran upstairs to his room. 

'Hey mum, where is dad at?' I asked and went to tear some crackling off the pork roast but mum slapped my hand, 'In his study I think, he wants to speak to you too,' I walked down the long hall where dads office was, the 'business' end of the house was pretty separate from the family home side, I stopped at the large door and knocked twice, 'come in.'

'Alpha,' I said and bowed my head in respect, 'you wanted to talk to me,'

'Yes Mikaela I did,' he beckoned to a chair opposite him, 'sit' and of course I did. 'I'm going to stop you training.'

'Why?' I scoffed, 'dont you want to teach me Alpha lessons anymore?'

'They weren't Alpha lessons,' He defended,

'Hell yes they are! They are exactly the same as Colts lessons!' I yelled and dad just sighed,

'Regardless I am stopping them,' He growled,

'Cause you want to focus on helping Colt?' I asked, my temper still fuming, dad nodded,

'But also, I don't want you to get fixed on the idea that im grooming you for Alpha,' I stood up and started pacing,

'Seriously Dad! It slipped out and now you are going to punish me! YOU are the one giving away OUR pack, don't take out your shit on me!' I snapped,

'Mikaela! Sit down!,' he yelled and tried to press his dominance into the words but I just curled my lip,

'Sorry I'm not a guy dad, but at least being a girl means that's one more thing i don't have in common with you!' I screamed and ran out of the room, slamming the heavy door so hard im surprised it didn't fall off its hinges. I ran into mum in the hallway,

'What is it honey? I heard yelling?' she asked in her calm voice,

'Arghhhhh!!' was all I could say before storming off to my room.

This way, at least, my reign will come as a bigger surprise I thought. I walked over to my mirror and combed my fingers through my hair, my lip curled up slightly and I smiled at myself, Alpha Mikaela Seagal of the Iron Blood pack, first female Alpha.

Ill try and put up a chapter on Saturday and Sunday but I'm back at school Monday so they will be less frequent during the week. Like, vote, comment and all that stuff if you like this story, If i get a good response I will continue to write the story but if I don't get much response in the next few chapter I may not finish the story so its up to you all.
