The Girl in the Hoodie

Chapter 1

This was the year.

My year.  No, Our year.

Also known as the year I would tell Kameron Parks how I felt for the past six years.

I examine the halls, filled with the cliché social, and ethnical groups. Finally I spotted Kristy.

With a smile, I aproached her.

" Hey Kris. Where have you been all summer, I missed you. " I stated.

She clenched her jaw.

" You can't blame me for ditching you all summer," Kristen crossed her arms, her new accent thick.

" I mean, you still look like the trash you are. "

Taking offense at it for a second, I figured she was joking. We've been best friends our whole life. Despite her attitude, I laughed it off.

She just stared at me.

" I was serious. "

"Why would you say something like.."

" Listen, and listen well. You are going to stay away from Kameron forever. You will not talk to him, nor look at him. " She cut me off.

" But, this was the year I told him how I felt. You know how much he means to me. "

" Well you can forget about all tha-"
She turned and suddenly smiled sickly.

" Oh, hey Kam. I was just telling Londie the fabulous news. "

Please don't be what I think it is. Please.

" What news?" I whispered slightly.

"Were you not listening. Me and Kam are dating. We started early in the summer, silly. "

My heart sank. That's why Kristene told me to stay away from him.

But she's always liked his stepbrother, why now when she knows I like Kameron?

" Oh, um, excuse me a second. " I spoke as I speedwalked to the nearest restroom I could find.

Turns out the nearest is the boys.

Which I mistakenly went into.

Dumbfoundedly relieved, I rushed into the boys restroom, slipping on yurin.

As my face hit the slightly dried pee, the guys stared at me in shock.

And then, I saw a face.

He was kind of cute. His jet black unmistakably messy, his jawline sharp. And then the flashbacks flickered in my head.

This wasn't just anybody.

This was Kai Parks.
