My heart thumps in my ears and my breath comes in gasps. My feet pound the ground. The rustling behind me grows louder as the creature gains on me. Trees, plants and undergrowth whip by me in a blur. I burst out of the jungle into a clearing. Before me is a sheer stone wall, behind me there is nothing but twisted, overgrown jungle. I back against the wall like a cornered animal as the creature growls and the ground shakes. Trapped! The stone wall behind me feels cold to the touch. The bushes in front of me rustle as the creature that has been chasing me rears its huge head up. No, impossible! This is only a dream. It has to be.
