Yuki's POV

"fifty seven....fifty eight.....fifty nine..." I count as I do my sit ups in the hospital. The nurse said that I can leave tomorrow morning. I definitely am healthy enough now or else they won't let me out. So I decided to do some physical exercise.

Someone open the door. It must be him again. Why does he make it so hard to me now? I have to keep myself away from him.

I was wrong. It's someone with many bandages all over his body, covering his right eye and arms. He's an old man from the foundation. Danzo.

I gulp as I realize who came in. He's with another ANBU escorting him.

"Danzo-sama," I greeted him. He doesn't look so pleased. From the look of him, he's not here just to pay me a visit.

"Yamigawa,". He greets me back. The ANBU guy is just standing still guarding the door.

"What is it make you came along way to see me here in the hospital?" I ask him.

He's staring at him. I guess he's thinking about something before he finally say it.

"I'm just going to the point. You have to restrain yourself from Hatake Kakashi. I think you're smart enough to know why. It's not only for the foundation, it's for the sake of the village,".

I looked down to think what he just said. He's right. I have no reason to be near to him.

"I'll try,".

He shook his head and said, "you're doing fine for the past four years. What is it makes you think you can be friends with him again? You, of all people, know the consequences, right?"

I nod.

He left my room immediately after. I sigh deeply. I know it from the start that I can't talk to him again. I have to throw away all of my selfishness to be near him. He's the reason I do all of this. If I stopped now, everything will be destroyed.

I rested my head in my hands. God, why is it so hard to do this?

Kakashi's POV

I enter the hospital carrying two small plastic bags with pork buns and gyoza. Yuki's favourite.

I walk to Yuki's room. As I walk along the corridor, I see Danzo and an ANBU walk from the direction of Yuki's room. I frown. What the hell is he doing here? He walks past me without saying anything. I walk faster. Worried about Yuki's condition.

I open the door and see her. She's resting her head in her hands. Then, I hear a sob coming from her. She's crying.

"What is it, Yuki? Tell me," I said as I pat her back. She looks uncomfortable as I touch her back. I pulled my hand of off her.

She's crying silently, she won't even look at me. So, I just sit there waiting for her to stop.

When she finally calmed down, I put the bags of food on her lap. "Your favourites," I said it with a closed eye smile. She looks at it and then turn her head over to look at me.

"Thanks," she said. With a smile.

I smile back at her as she takes out a pork bun and eat it. She eats pretty fast. She must like it that much or she's just that hungry.

I look at her face. She's pretty with a porcelain liked face and a deep green eyes. Like an emerald. She has a pink lips and a faint scar along her jaw. No one will notice it unless they're looking at her for maybe quite a while. I know where the scar came from, so, I notice it right away.

We just sit there in silence for a moment. Either she or I have nothing to talk about. She was crying in front of me! I don't know what to say to her. Comforting words? Cheer her up?

"we-well uhh...how do you feel today?" I said.

"fine. I can leave tomorrow morning,"

She's being cold again.

"good, I'll pick you up tomorrow morning and then maybe we ca-". "Kakashi,". She cut of my words.

"yes?".

"Just stay away from me,"

I froze when I heard what she said.

"but why? Why are you shoving me off everytime I tried to be your friend? Why do you want me to leave?"

I asked with a pleading tone. Why would she want me to stay away from her? What am I doing?

"Sorry, I can't tell you,".

I got a bit angry.

"How do you expect me to leave you without any reason, Yuki? Just give me a reason for me to leave. Is it Danzo? I saw him coming out of your room. And you were crying in front of me! I can't leave you like this. Not without words,"

She pisses me off. I just wanted to accompany her when she was ill, see her smile, to be with her through thick and thin. What is wrong with that? I don't even ask for anything from her. Looking at her smile is enough for me.

She's a bit shocked when I mention Danzo. I guess I'm right. But then again, she shook her head no. She lied.

"Just tell me, Yuki. Anything. Just please, stop lying," I plead again.

"Fine! If you want it that badly then I'll give you a reaaon. I'm no good for you, alright? I was expelled from the ANBU. I'm dangerous. Even for the Leaf itself. I do not want to harm people near me. That's all I'm gonna say. So please, just be a smart guy and stay away from me! Why do you care so much about me?"

"Because I love you! That's why! I loved you back then and I love you now. I never moved on since 5 years ago. You know that already,"

I shouted. Yes. I love her. That's why I carry her running to the hospital. That's why I'm scared to death when I saw her with the curse mark. That's why I sit here everyday waiting for her to recover. Praying everyday just for her to wake up and smile to me again. Going through all those years just to wait for her. I did and I still do.

She looks a bit surprised but instantly she looks even more troubled than before. She looks sad.

I don't regret saying all of that. Well, I kinda regret the situation, but I know sooner or later I'm going to tell her.

"I-I can't do this. I ju-just... just leave me, Kakashi. Don't try to see me again. Promise me,".

She looks down on her lap again. Staring at both of her hands. I got up from my seat and walk out the door. Looking at her for the last time. I don't know what to think anymore.

I'm broken.
