Prologue
30 years previously.
‘How does one entertain the people?’ Asked Emperor Tudor.
‘With a means to an end,' replied the War Designer.
‘What do you mean?’ The Emperor responded.
‘War my liege,’ the War Designer answered quickly.
‘Are you trying to tell me, that you intend to launch full scale war, on my precious ten planets that I took years to conquer?’
‘Of course not, begging your pardon my lord,’ the War Designer said hurriedly.
"I intend to make a crucial step, in the war against Terra Cere."
‘Indeed,’ replied Emperor Tudor eagerly.
"There are five uninhabitable planets in this system now, in normal circumstances, what would you do, with five toxic wasteland planets?"
"What is your point?’ the Emperor said losing patience at the words, that he suspected were to good to be true."
"My point is, if we can repair the damaged atmospheres, I will begin a project codenamed Operation Artificial. Which is an experiment of mine, there have been a few scientists, working on small scale at the moment to deflect neutron/radiation off the surface of a testing room. We intend to repair the atmosphere, of the five planets and remove large scale nuclear warfare of years gone by. When we manage to do this in my opinion in about 25 years, we shall steal and wipe the mind of millions of Terra Cerians and program them against each other."
"And you think I will just let you buy these planets" the Emperor asked, challenging the War Designer.
"I have already purchased them," the War Designer said coldly and the hairs on the back of Tudor’s neck stood up.
"Of course we wouldn’t tell your subjects," he went on, "that we are making a huge scale of genocide we will just say that the Humanoids, are manufactured at a plant somewhere on Planet 14 which you can approve of at short notice. There on Planet 14, I shall continue making weapons of destruction and crucial inventions. Simply, give the Cerians weapons and tell them to kill each other. Lastly, the beauty of this is, with the invention of time travel, we can discover what certain times and place look like, steal them and have even more entertainment. Amazing isn’t it? In fact now that I have time travel I can destroy time if you do not agree, and I swear to God, I am not lying."
He ran at superhuman speed killed both Tudor’s guards and rammed him against a wall and uttered "legyen az elme az enyém" and the Emperor was at the War Designer’s mercy.
"You will forget all that has happened here and will only remember allowing me to continue and supporting it."
He let him go and put him back in his chair.
Tudor woke quickly and he asked.
"How do you plan to do this?" he asked.
"I will use two of the planets, as experiment planets and the other three as fighting worlds, which I'm going to name The Grounds of Death. They will take place in different times in the history of the planet Terra Cere. Lastly before I leave you do you approve of this project? To entertain and capture your 11th planet without raising a finger."
"I accept with pleasure" Emperor Tudor as the hypnotic power burned the will out of his mind, he was now the War Designer’s puppet.
"I shall return to my labs to continue my work good day my lord".
