12 - Different

Anna POV
I was fishing at the lake part of our river. Y'know the circular part of the river between the waterfall and the river mouth.
This time, I was trying to catch a giant snakehead. I haven't caught one yet, because I was busy catching bugs in the past.
It's 11 am at the time, I usually fish at 11. But I couldn't fish because my mind decided to think about other stuff instead.
My thoughts were going crazy since last night. The wishes and our 'confessions'. But mostly because of what happened after the outing...

--FLASHBACK--

"Hey." I whispered.
"Hmm?" Tom turned his head to my direction.
"Are both of them asleep?" I asked while standing up. "They must be tired."
"It's just a nice night am I right?" He looked into my eyes.
"Yeah, I'd fall asleep too, but it's a nice show." I stared at the sky once more.
He nodded and stared at the meteor shower. The shiny trail of light followed the shooting star. Many of them traveling in different speeds, but still in sync.
As I was watching the show, I took a quick glance at the two sleepyheads, how cute are they?
But what caught my attention was Joe. He was sleeping so peacefully and adorably.
Out of nowhere, I moved some bangs off of his forehead a little, exposing it. He looks nice with bangs, but he looks great when he shows some forehead.
I just smiled and shook my head after spacing out about the boy. I face the sky again, wondering what to do.
How did those two sleep at a time like this? So much things you could do at this time. They have some interesting minds.
You can talk about things, enjoy the show, and lots of other stuff. Maybe even some spicy stuff might happen y'know. But they chose to sleep. Such peaceful peeps they are.

After minutes of spacing out, I turned around to see Tom signalling, saying, hey, let's get these two home. I whispered a 'yeah'. He picked Lily up and I picked Joe up.
I held him bridal style, which made me laugh a little. I took my leave and Tom did the same. Tom heading to Lily's house, me to Joe's.

I walked softly and carefully to the pathway of his house. Following the straight walkways that lead to the boy's home. His hair bopped up and down due to me walking.
The sky's purple color, the starlight, such beautiful lighting. It shined on Joe's sleeping face. I wanted to caress his hair but I had a handful at the time.
As I walked, I payed attention to the flowers, everything I stared at or thought of was about Joe. He must've spent a lot of time on those.
He's actually kind of an interesting guy if you look at him from a different perspective. That led me to think that I shouldn't have stopped hanging out with him.
I didn't know exactly why I kinda ditched him. I thought Tom was a little better in interestingness in the past, but now, I think Joe has his own captivating traits.
I felt blind that I couldn't notice. I noticed about fifty percent, but not his full personality.
I could've stayed with him, and maybe we'd be closer. But it's all good either way, I think. It'll be cool if all of us hang out more actually. And get closer..

!! buMp !!

Ow, I screamed inside, what the heck? I bumped into a rock. Or tripped, whatever. I fell and accidentally dropped Joe.
Shoot, I internally cursed, he's gonna wake up! Stupid brain! When did I ever start thinking for 10 minutes straight about a person??
"A-Anna?"
My heart skipped a beat. Why did he wake up? I mean I dropped him, but he didn't wake up earlier. Ugh, stop panicking Anna!
"Oh, um, the show's over." I mumbled, looking away. He blinked and stared up at the sky.
"Really? But it's still going." He looked back at me which completely scared the heck out of me with his sleepy cute face.
"I-I meant that you and Lily fell a-asleep during the show," I stuttered out,"so Tom and I decided to carry you guys home."
He just stared and nodded. We were kneeling down in silence. Why does that always happen?
"So..want to go home or.."
He nodded again and stood up. We continued where we left off.
