Ray x Reader | (Y/N)'s Birthday

It's been a week since (Y/N) have started to 'disguise' as a believer in the Mint Eye. The only reason (Y/N) can survive in the place is because Ray is there. Whenever (Y/N) feels sad and lonely, Ray will always try to cheer her up and motivate her either it's in the chatroom or he'll drop by her room himself. He really cherish her until one day, it's (Y/N)'s birthday and he want to make a surprise for her.

I wonder who knock the door in the middle of the afternoon...

"Who is it..?" After I waited for a while, there's no response coming. Maybe I should just open th—

"I-It's me (Y/N).. U-um, am I interrupting you ? W-well I guess I should just g-go—"

It's Ray. I should open the door! It's been a while and he's really busy lately, I really want to see him!!

"Ray!! Wait! I'll open the door, so don't go!!"

I opened the door to see him standing in front of me while hiding something behind his back with both of his hands. Curiously, I ask, "Ray, what's that behind your back?" while tilting my head to the side.

"Uhm.. it's... your birthday, so I got you some primrose from the garden... though i'm not really sure what flower you like the most, but it's my favourite.."

Ray handed me the primrose with shaking hands and he look to the ground to hide his reddened face.

Feeling extraordinary happy, I took the primrose and hug him "Thanks so much Ray! I really like it! You remember my birthday.. I'm sooo happy ^^"

"(Y-Y/N)?! Uhm... uh... I-I'm glad that you're happy..." I tightened my hug and to my surprise he hug me back gently.

I can't describe how happy I am right now, and my heart's beating really fast. Like literally f-a-s-t.

And when things are going pretty smooth, there's a believer who come towards us which made us eventually break the contact just now and stand in a normal position.

"Mr. Ray, the savior has called for you."

"T-the savior?.. what does she want?.."

"It's the time of the week to drink the elixir again"

"The elixir.... right... I should drink it.. okay.. I'll go see her now.." after hearing Ray, the believer continue to pass by and walk further until he disappear from the eyesight.

No No No! Ray shouldn't drink it! The last time he drank it, he became really sick and his head hurt really bad!! I know it's just the savior manipulation to make him hail her like a queen! I should stop this.

I tugged at Ray's magenta suit
"Ray, you shouldn't drink it, you'll get sick again! I'm really worried... If anything bad happens to you, I'll be really sad. So please don't take the elixir."
