Nobody expected their lives to change so quickly. Then again, who thinks about that?

My name is Ulysses. Im a normal kid, with normal friends. My life was fine. Like any other persons life. I've laughed, i've cried, i had done it all.

Or so i thought.

You never expect life to change so quickly. And it all started that very day i found the bottle.

I wake up to an alarm playing the happy birthday music. Its my birthday today. I get dressed and walk down the stairs. I eat my cereal and scroll through my phone.

9 Cases Of Missing Children From All Around The World

Where did they go?

Are they still alive?

Well, thats a depressing way to start off my birth day.

I text my groupchat full of friends.

Ulysses: "Anyone want to do something later today?"

Christen: "Ig (i guess) so. What did you have in mind?"

Joe: "How about we just go for a walk? Somewhere. Anywhere really. I dont really care."

Robert: "How about that one haunted forest? They say you see spirits there but its honestly just really pretty"

Crystal: "I aint trynna deal with no ghosts"

Ricardo: "Yeah, i aint trynna get cursed. Tf"

Ulysses: "I mean, we can do it simply for the aesthetic of it all. Come on it'll be fun"

As everyone finally agrees to do it, i put on my shoes and walk out. I head toward the forest and sit there. It didnt emit a creepy vibe. There was flowers, sunshine, and the smell of rain surrounding it.

As everyone meets up, they all walk into the forest.

A light shined onto a broken bottle with a slightly dirty paper in there. I pick it up and read out loud.

"An ancient estate awaits you all. The only way to get here is to establish a persona, and not have modern day technology at hand. A man with a carriage will arrive once 9 people are gathered here. Do you dare enter the house? Do you dare free the children? Not all will come back alive."

I shouldve listened.

At the time, nobody took it seriously. We shrugged it off as a prank, but some of us were interested.

Joe and Robert specifically.

They wondered if it was truly real. Or just a small fun adventure.

Either way, one way or another, they persuaded us into joining. So we all headed to our home. The only problen was.. there was only 7 of us. And the paper said we needed 9.

I remembered a good friend i had.

I called Hallie and explained the situation, she hesitantly agreed.

I called Aletris and explained the situation, she on the other hand, said fuck it and agreed. Not like she had anything better to do.

We all dressed up and made our way back.

That was our fatal mistake.
