~still ten days before~

I heard a ring from my phone signalling me that someone sent a message. I unlocked my phone grinned to see that Lia had messaged me.

Lia: Girl.

me: hey Lia!

Lia: its been two days

me: since we talked, yeah im so sorry i've just been busy

Lia: did you forget?

me: about?

Lia: you were supposed to send me pictures of your boss' son!!

me:
oh yeah i'll send you some pictures...

me: yeah?

Lia: you're living with a frickin god

me: more like a pervert

he sneaked up on me when i was showering this morning

what kind of an idiot does that??

Lia: a sexy one ;)

I took an ivory-coloured sweater from the dresser I packed my clothes in and paired it with a pair of black Vans. I put my hair up in a messy bun after quickly blow drying it.

I packed my handbag with my pistol, an umbrella, some tissue packets, earbuds, my wallet and my phone. It was the same nude handbag I brought to my first date with Ethan. I also had brought my report and laptop to further research this later on.

It's slightly weird thinking about how Ethan may be a potential child kidnapping and murdering monster. I pushed the horrendous thoughts to the back of my mind as I exited my room.

I was greeted by a topless man, in his boxers, eating my pancakes that I made in the kitchen. I muttered a quick good-bye and went on my way to the library.

I wanted to read up on Ethan at the library since he's really good at sneaking up on me even though I'm an assassin. It's a little embarrassing to be frank. I took an Uber to the library and did the usual routine with the drivers; no talking.

As I arrived at the nearest library, it looked eerie despite the fact that it's twelve in the afternoon. There was a meticulous glow about the building that seemed to ring a bell. I shook off the weird feeling and headed inside.

As expected, the library was empty. There wasn't a librarian in sight and I could feel gushes of wind due to the air conditioning. I sat down on a chair and sat my laptop on the wooden table. The books in this library looked old and tattered except of one book that glistened in the corner of my eye.

I walked over to this shining book, it had a hard cover and was polished to the touch. Anyone could tell that this was a new book. But why is this here surrounded by old books? As I inched closer to this strange book my eyes read the words on the spine. 'Assassins 1840-2021'

[a/n: uh so this book is taken place according to ethan & grayson's age thing so if they're 21 it would be in 2021 right? hol up lemme go the calculations. okay yea its right. moving on...]

I felt a shiver down my spine as I pulled the book out of the tightly packed shelve. I flipped the book till the last page that there it states:

Place of death: Sicily, Italy

I put the book back into its rightful spot and and bolted to the door after quickly grabbing my things of the wooden table. I ran as far as my legs could carry me from the creepy library.

I finally slowed down after about ten minutes of continuous sprinting and I was jogging by the Starbucks. I stopped to catch my breath as perspiration trickles down my forehead to my cheek.

I checked the date on my phone and it states: April 13th 2021.

a/n: hellooooo i usually write more than this but i really wanted to update so here it is. i'm trying my best to write btw yea that's all byeeeeeeee again, this is unedited.

edit : okok so i just realised that it kinda doesnt make any sense considering the fact that it would be freezing in august and ethan and grayson just turned 21 *in this book* which means that the new year should've have started oof soo imma do some edits and i apologise if anyone who has read this book would face any misunderstandings. feel free to message me if you want me to elaborate on this :)
