I shoved my hands into my front pockets and slid them around a slightly cold object, pulling it out.
The keys to the front door.
I pushed the key in the lock, twisted it clockwise, counter-clockwise, tugged it out, and pushed the door open.
I looked at my watch.
Still dark.. getting light... 8:37. Almost opening time.
Walking in, I peered aroundthe room that welcomed me so, seeing the toy animatronics up on the stage. Practicing their parts for the play, Bon looked over Fred's shoulder at me.
"Hey, Poppy!" He cheered at my presence.
The human bunny's outfit consisted of a violet purple dress shirt, a vest that was as white as his tail, a snow-colored apron tied around his waist hanging down his front, black sneakers, and a orchid headband with big, cute bunny ears sticking out of the top.
They were so big they had to fold over at the middle.
...ADORBS...
"Hey, Bon, Fred, Chi. Y'all know what today is..?" I almost stated, a smile spreading across my face as I tugged off my shorts, folded them and put them neatly in my bag after pulling out a turquoise short skirt I slid on over black leggings I already had on.
"Theatre Day!!" Chi replayed grinning ear-to-ear like a freaking Vincent, swinging her skirt around like a 6 year old.
She wore light and dark striped leggings, orange knee high zip boots overtop. A banana colored dress with a white apron tied around her waist with the words Let's Party!Across the front, confetti decorating the front of it. She threw a piece of streamer as the girl stood happily, tail feathers poking out from the bottom of the back of her dress skirt.
"Fred, Go!" I remembered my script as I pulled off my black hoodie, folded it and stuffed it my bag along with my shorts that were already in the bottom of the decorated sack.
Fred's shoulders scrunched up as he shouted, "No, you can't make me!!" He spun his head around to me, snarling like a beast.
I jumped back, wondering if he was serious.
He dropped his shoulders and smiled, chuckling. Dressed in a light brown undershirt, a darker color vest overtop, he wore brown pants, black dress shoes, and the clips on each side of his head to keep his hair back were conveniently grizzly bear ears. His fuzzy little brown bear tail started wagging when the sides of his mouth lifted.
....
There was a silence as we waited for a bash to be heard--but it didn't come.
"That's not right.." Bon remarked, leaning as far off the stage as he could to see around the corner and to the Arcade Room.
"No it's not." I stomped to the Arcade Room to find, unsurprisingly, Mangle and Balloon Boy sitting in chairs at a party table playing Patty-Cake.. wearing party hats.
Wow. Mature.
"BB, MANGLE! What are you doing? You are supposed to be practicing for the play!!" I spoke louder than expected, waking The Puppet..
